We came here for a weekend and given that we wanted to see as many attractions as possible, the location was great! it's by St.Paul's metro stop, where there are some great brasseries if you're in for a coffee/wine/meal. I would highly recommend a lunch at La Chimere! Amazing food, great prices! The hotel is within a very short walking distance from Notre Dame and St.Germain des Pres...we also walked to the Louvre from it, it's 30 minutes roughly, and many things to see on the way.
There's som. all reviews
Great location! Near to metro, cafés, supermarkets, restaurants, banks & shopping. Staff were very helpful. Great to have a lift! Room was modern, clean with a good amount of space. We were on the first floor and even had French doors opening to a little balcony. Just perfect!.
Central with about four restaurants and laundromat. Close to Pompadu center. Not far from the Sein and Notre Dame . Room a bit squeezy and funny shower arrangement with no shower curtain or panel to stop water from spraying all over bathroom floor.
Clean, comfortable, with nice bathroom. Friendly helpful staff. Good location walking distance to many sights. Though close to major road (which makes it easy to find) it was peaceful and quiet. Close to nice restaurants & eateries.
It was situated close to most of the main attractions. Close to a diverse range of restaurants. The people were friendlier than I remember from previous visits. Will definitely stay there again.
The front reception (espically Noela) was exceptional. They couldn't do enough to help us out. Great location-close to Notre Dame. Good Value-comfortable rooms.
Very comfortable hotel, the main attractions are in walking distance, the rooms are cleaned every day, bed linen is changed every third day. We loved it!.
The room was well appointed had a great bathroom, bidet and bath. The decor was modern and tasteful. Staff were friendly, helpful and spoke English.
Location was great, would stay here again. The near by cafe's were
Parisian and lively on the weekend, excellent value and location is
not touristy.
Excellent position and really helpful front desk assistance and friendly advice. Loved this hotel and would highly recommend to others.
It was clean, conveniently located and the staff were very helpful. By Paris standards the price was very reasonable.
Fantastic location in the Marais with comfortable rooms and helpful staff. Perfect hotel for a short break!.
Staff speaks English well and very accomodating. The location was excellent and nearby a metro station.
Great location and in a colourful area. Helpful and friendly staff Will definately return again.

Some of the staff were lovely and helpful.
Great location, Clean well kept rooms. Very quite for a city centre room.
The staff at reception were very friendly and always helpful.
Second time to stay here, great location, spacious room.
Clean great location excellent value.
Spacious room for Paris standard.
small clean and central hotel.
Location was the best part.
location and friendliness.
Location and clean.
Our room was in the attic and it was really cute. The bed was large enough for a couple and the heating system was fully operating the whole day.
The location was excelent, walkable distance from Notre Dame, Louvre museum, the river, champs de elysee, etc.
The neighborhood was full of restaurants ans bars.
The location - in the centre of the Marais with a short walk to the Isle
de Paris, the Left Bank and other sites. Staff friendly and helpful.
Its location & it met our expectations as a reasonably priced abode for an overnight stay only in Paris.
Location is near the gay area.
Relatively big bathroom compared to the room.
friendly staff.
The location, rooms ok.
Very clean. Two members of staff very helpful and friendly.
Location is great.
Staff friendly on arrival and departure. looked after my bags.
Fantastic location, good value for money considering Paris'
standards.
Location, very kind and friendley girl on a reception...
Excellent location, friendly staff and OK breakfast.
near to metro station, people are friendly.
1. хорошее расположение
1. good location.
Location is great .Staff is friendly.
Room was clean, but little else.
Location
There is a lift.
location.
The location is excellent! The streets are full of gorgeous little shops! You can spend hours wandering! Nice food and restaurants close by! The streets come alive with people from about 5 pm! Lovely atmosphere!.
The location is safe and not bad for the price. Good if all you need is a place to sleep during the night.
Clean linen, competent staff, location.
Location, location, location.
Shower arrangement.
would be useful to have electric water jug in room.
Nothing.
I dint like the internet cafe across the road, she ripped me off as did a nearby cafe owner who charged me 9 euros for a large coffee, clearly tourist bill. This leaves a bad taste and gives the French a bad name.
This is no reflection on Hotel Le Compostelle.
It's paris so the room is small (expected) but there was signs of
mold around windows and corners. Towels and bed was very clean,
nothing major.
The bathroom was rather small;.
For the money - nothing.
No electric jug or fridge
Downstairs hot water didn't function
No aircon
The lower floors facing the street are noisy.
For the money and the location, it would be impossible to come up with anything negitive.
A bit noisy from the street on Friday night.
when we arrived too early the lady on reception was not very friendly and was quiet rude when we asked could we leave the luggage there until check in time.
The noise from a party in the building next door that went on through the night until 5am.
A little pricey.
Small room.
On an EXTREMELY noisy street.
no decor in breakfast room.
There was a lot of noice during the night and in the morning from the
street. So ask for a room with windows to the backyard.
The bathroom was just tolerable. Although it was clean, it was old and it wasn't aligned with the mood of the rest room.
The room was very functional and quite small. Not somewhere to relax.
Roomspace is very small for two persons. Only one person can leave his suitecase open on the floor. There is no room to open an other.
Pay seperately for Wifi.
One member of staff out of three not very helpful.
Very thin walls so could hear tv.
Thin walls.- kept hearing noisy lift throughout night.
Breakfast room in cellar very dark and dingy but service and food ok once staff realised I was there.
One has to consider that the street is noisy. Even though cleaning up
was good, towels yellowish. Staff could be friendlier. Bed rather small
(if big, short too).
No wi-fi internet you need to pay 10 euros.
Our room in the back was small and depressive, no shower curtain and poorly lit bathroom.
wifi is charge, there is no air conditioner and we found some insects! in addition, there are many bars around the hotel, it was extremely noise at night, we cannot open the window at night.
2. очень маленький номер
3. очень жуткий лифт
4. нет света в коридорах
5. в номере только настольная лампа, некомфортно
6. не смотря на табличку "не беспокоить" горничная пришла, скинула всю одежду с кровати
2. a very small room
3. terrible elevator
4. there is no light in the corridors
5. Room has only table lamp, dark and uncomfortable
6. in spite of the "do not disturb" the maid came, took off all my clothes off the bed.
Room is small.
Light not always working when exited from lift, a rude ill mannered
receptionist at the front desk, but someone smoking in lift, but worst
of all ordered a shuttle through hotel front dedk to catch a flight from
Charles De Gaulle airport and the shuttle failed to turn up. As a
consequence obliged to use a taxi at very short notice.
Bathroom / toilet very cramped and little room.
Would not recommend that anyone else should use this hotel and certainly will never return.
Extra charge for wifi
Quilt cover had dirty stains.
staff not friendly, no aircon and very very noisy - if one could close a window, switch on the aircon which will block out the noise.
The hotel smelt of smoke, very noisy in courtyard below which seemed shared by other businesses! Very outdated furniture and only single beds! We were on 7 th floor to start and was a fire trap! Asked to move to 3rd which was better!.
The short lady with very short hair in the reception is quite cold and rude (The other lady and the man who was there during the night were very polite and gentle which makes you feel more welcome). The room looks different than in the pictures: older, smaller and darker. I took the bedroom with bathtub, but it doesn't have a shower which makes it very uncomfortable. The toilet is really tiny which is very common in Paris.
unsatisfctory noise level throughout the night, unsatisfactory bathroom, small stuffy room, insufficient lighting. This hotel is not 3 star standard.
It is nececesary to pay a 10 Euro fee for the use of Wi-fi!
Unbeliavable. The personel was rude and the rooms were cold.
Staff with stern face except for the young girl. Very old hotel, no air-condition during summer, very noisy street.
