The Staff, especially Jan, David and Alim were so very helpful and professional. Jan helped us confirm our reservations with a tour package and then emailed me confirmation, such a relief to have it handled so capably! Breakfast was so worth the 20 euros, delicious and convenient. Our room, 211, had a twin beds pushed together so we could sleep with some space! It was so very quiet and relaxing to come back to after a hectic day sightseeing. The hotel is very close to both train stations which .
all reviews » A modern clean hotel very close to the station with interesting sights and walk nearby especially the canal. Montparnasse is a 20 minutee stroll away. The tour bus stops almost outside and of course the metro is across the road. We had room 604 which us at the rear with a balcony and we would recommend this room notwithstanding the fact that is one of the more expensive rooms. The hotel is modern and the room was nice, clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location of this hotel is perfect. It's very close to the train station (Gare du Nord) and the subways are just around the corner. In no time you are in the center of Paris. Around the hotel you will find a few restaurants and even some supermarkets. There was a very good selection at the buffet breakfast which was well laid out and easy to find your way around. The room we had was really clean, had air conditioning and the windows kept out the daytime noise as we were close to Gard Du Nord train station. The staff were extremely helpful and all spoke English which was good because my French was not. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room (we had a free upgrade to the De-luxe rooms on the 6th floor) was fully equipped and gorgeous with a small balcony and a large, well-equipped bathroom. Within yards of the Gare de Nord but really quiet. Very convenient for the Metro - a must for getting around Paris. Staff were efficient, friendly, professional and all spoke good English. Immediate neighborhood seemed a bit sketchy, but much better a block further from the station, and a great pastry shop at the steps to the M4. Azzidene in Reception was a joy to meet. He was extremely friendly & gave us very helpful guidance and one of the best people in Reception that we met over our 6 week trip in Europe. This hotel has a great location if using the Nord train station. Near a busy road and yet the double glazing was very effective and kept out the noise. The beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood is a little dicey, we wandered down the street to a Laundromat and washed our clothes but were on high alert the whole time. We did not have one issue with pick pocketing during our 10 day trip. Just be alert and don't flash your money around. We have no complaints. Yes it is boisterous outside at night but any hotel near a main station in a capital city has similar issues. The area around the station and the hotel are not very safe in the evenings/nights. I have no bad comments about the hotel. Dinner was well presented but not very warm. We thought it had been microwaved. We ate breakfast in one if the many, cheaper, cafes within a few yards. Noise at night was initially a problem but it is next to a main road and after busy days the comfortable bedding provoked sleep instantly. None. Very small closet and no luggage racks meant everything was on the floor, a timer on the air conditioner made it difficult to sleep through the whole night. The air conditioning was a non event, so room very hot. I always prefer having a bath with a shower in it. The problem with the shower in the hotel was that there was no screen to prevent water going everywhere. The hotels in Paris are incredibly over priced. For a 3star hotel 190 euro, ridicule !!. The area is a bit dodgy so if you don't need to be close to the station, stay in a nicer part of Paris!. We did not have breakfast at hotel as price was steep. While close to Gare de Nord it is a bit of a hike, if walking, to major tourist sites. Recommend hop on hop off bus, public bike hire or, as we did, walk to the area, explore and catch taxi back. Although nothing to do with the hotel, the general area around the railway stations is slightly "dubious". Although we had no issues whatsoever, we were always on our guard. But there are many cities in the world that have similar environments. Seedy neighbourhood. Although not unsafe in my opinion, it is not the sort of neighbourhood I feel comfortable with. The cost of the breakfast, it should be included in the price. Area may be a problem at night. Small bedroom with minimal hanging and storage space. Suitable for over night stay- maybe 2 nights but no more. Breakfast - better than some in Paris but nothing to get excited about. Was not informed breakfast was not included. Was certainly not marked as fifteen euros. Thirty-euro added onto the bill for two small breakfasts (I only had a cup of coffee and a croissant) was a shock. No information in rooms about attractions. (small negative). It is a very good location if you need to stay near Gare du Nord. It is one block from the station and across the street from the Metro entrance. The problem is that this neighborhood is not very nice. Bit noisy - from street. Had a power point not working but there were others we could use. The surrounding area was a little questionable but hotel very secure - minimal self laundry service in locality. Rooms a bit too small - had asked for room to be able to accommodate wheelchair- no reply to this and room did not accommodate wheelchair. there are no bad comments. Would like tea/coffee making in room. Everything was to my satisfaction. We were originally given room 205 with windows out on the street, which was not soundproof as we could hear people outside even with the windows and curtains shut. We had enough of the loud people at 0130 and asked to switch rooms, which the hotel quickly did. I would highly recommend visitors get an inward facing room if they want to get any sleep. AC was broken for one of the room, but they did offer a different room in a different floor. Area safety can be a concern late at nite, but no big issue. Hotel is secure and safe. shower looks great but was poorly designed and the water flooded the bathroom and ran into the bedroom. breakfast was not good value. square pillows!. No restroom in lobby.
