The Hotel Du Midi is a bright and attractive hotel conveniently located opposite the RER/Metro Station with a direct link via La Ligne b both to Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport and significant tourist attractions such as Notre Dame. We booked this wonderfu hotel for three nights late August 2013. Unlike the Parisian hotel standards the room spacious as well as bathroom. All amenties you need are there; fridge, kettle with coffe and tea supplies. Receptionists in this hotel are super & kind. Special thank you goes for Rosy and Thierry. Everything was very spacious, beautiful views of Paris from the 6th floor windows.Staff still as wonderful as when we were there before. You had the option of opening the windows to let in fresh air. (we were not facing the main street) Just over the street from the RER rail station and its a good train line that connects to Charles De Airport and a bus service located outside the station that connects with Olay. Great eating places all around. The staff allowed us to park our car early and leave our luggage with them while we went sightseeing. They also gave great advice on how to use the public transportation system (located right across the street) which made our trip much more manageable. Some staff is not able to communicate in English which is understandable though. Liked it all. The shower cubicle had inward opening doors, making it suitable only for skinny guests. The wifi strength was usually only two bars. Breakfast is extra cost and has limited choice but there are plenty of cafes nearby where you can buy what you want. The room was very small, but this is common in Paris. It's a bit noisy at night so we had to close the double shutters. Price a little on the high side, but it could have been a ruish period. The toilet paper holder needs to be replaced. The room was a bit small but we knew that going in. Breakfast a little expensive and unvarying. We had arrived at Montparnesse station from Bordeaux at 20.00 and after queueing for an hour for a taxi (plus heavy bags), the taxis refused to take us stating that the hotel was too close to the station. In the end we had to walk over a mile for 20 minutes plus heavy bags with no map. It left a very bad impression of Paris!! The next morning the hotel reception arranged a taxi for the Gare du Nord and this was a good experience. Breakfast room a bit small (not really a problem, just cozy). Staff gave us wrong information regarding a place we were going and were not overly helpful. Too small. I know what to expect from the downtown Paris. So not a complaint, just that it was too small and dint have a convenient chair to sit. The cost of the breakfast for a family of four for 2 days would have been prohibitive so we went to a nearby boulangerie instead. View to a parking lot. There is, in fact, no wardrobe in the room - there is only a place for clothes hanging on a hanger. The breakfast room is much too small and tight. I had to eat outside because all places were taken. Fortunately, there are some restaurant around serving breakfast. The 10 Euro breakfast is rather pricey - though very generous quantity. Recommend ordering one breakfast between two plus two coffees. It worked for us!. We put out the "Please make up our room" sign at 8:30am, but the maid didn't arrive until 4:30pm when we were recovering from a busy day on the town. nothing. Thought breakfast was overpriced. Room got hot at night and we had to open the windows to cool it down.
