This is such a lovely, small hotel in a fabulous location for touring Paris on foot, centrally located to most of the major sites and attractions. The staff is warm, friendly and most helpful. Our room was exceptionally comfortable, spotlessly clean, quiet, and a welcome respite from the busy city. The lift does not go all the way to the top floor, so if this is an issue, request a room on the first five floors. We stayed at Hotel Chomel for seven nights and loved it. We would return witho. all reviews
We booked from a courtyard where our apartment had fallen through, in the very nice neighborhood where it and Chomel are located, t 8:30 p.m. Arrived at 8:40. The price was more than a hundred dollars a night less than the others in the area. The front desk person was wonderful. The rooms were small and a bit tired, but clean and the showers were hot with lots of pressure. Good internet.
A room in the city centre of Paris for that price is a bargain.
Kind staff and clean room.
Excellent WIFI for free!!
If you go to Paris, I do not think that you will spent too much time in your room but if you want something more,
go to the Ritz!!!!
and then you can complain of the elevator and other bulls..ts.
they are refurnishing the hotel so it will look like much better than now.
The manager, Laurent, was extremely friendly and helpful. The service was top notch and cordial. The coffee was outstanding and the breakfast was always fresk. The room was clean, and the place was well located.
Very quiet at night, probably thanks to its location in a side street.
Mostly young, friendly staff (students?).
Location is fairly close to the Quartier Latin which has a high density in cafes and restaurants.
Perfect location (central but quiet, close to main attractions and well communicated). Nice staff. Excellent coffee and fresh croissant for breakfast (it's not a standard in Paris!!!).
I would come back.
The reception staff where very friendly and helpfull and advised us each morning which transport to use. Thank You.It was very convient for both metro and bus. We had a lovely time.
Nice hotel and great value for money, staff in reception were very good.
Emailed to ask if I could leave my bags and they replied very quickly
saying it was no problem at all.
The reception is very helpful and willing to tell you all you need.
Room for 3 bed is good enough space, but for 2 persons which look small but Paris. Bath room good.
Liked the big window in our room. The receptionists were very friendly.
The map they provide is useful for first time visitors.
quiet, but near lots of attractions. Great continental breakfast, English speaking staff avail 24 hours. Solid wi-fi.
compact room
glass protected windows
air conditioning
good wifi connection, able to connect from mobile and laptop.
Great location for seeing the sights of Paris. Staff was extremely
helpful and friendly, especially Laurence.
Hotel at good location. Staffs were good . neat n clean. Hope to comer
again. Major(rtd) mizan. Bangladesh.
The staff, especially Laurent, was friendly and very helpful! Excellent place for a first trip to Paris.
Nice safe location near shopping and transport.
Breakfast included (croissont, roll, juice and coffee.
Helpfulness of the staff, proximity to the metro, reasonably quiet street for city location.
Super friendly staff...good price and excellent location !!!!.
friendly staff - thank you very much for help during staying.
Very accessible to what I wanted to see and do in Paris.
Location!!
Staff communicated very well.
location ideal for visiting Paris.
clean,spacious,nice feeling.
I saw 3 staff members and they were all friendly and helpful. I left large luggage until I came back again from london, but they kept it safe.
there is a safety box and an elevator, which is very convenient. the location is very good to go to anywhere of tourist spots. there is a famous shopping building near the hotel where you can buy good suvenirs. there is a direct bus to Tour Effel, too(on weekdays).
The highlight is that staff members are very good and thoughtful.
Good location, breakfast simple (bread, croissant, juice, tea/coffee) but efficiently served and delicious. In a very convenient location (2 mins walk from metro Sevres-Babylone). Nice balcony! Comfortable. Clean linen.
The location was very good. Easy to get around. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby.
Lawrance, the manager was friendly and helpful. Air conditioner worked well and was quiet.
Helpful staff who carried my heavy suitcase up to the 6th floor since the lift only operates to the 5th floor.
Excellent staff, very friendly and at your disposal at any moment! Worth to stay here just for staff.
Great location, walking distance to Eiffel tower, The louvre and Notre
Dame. Service minded staff.
Any comment is not fair since they are renovating now! For us it served our purpose.
Perfect location. Very easy to get to everything a tourist would want to see.
Location was good. Front desk staff was good. Breakfast was good.
Location, free wifi, free breakfast.
Staff / Recently remodeled room.
Very good location.
Location in the junction of two metro lines, direct line to Porte de Versailles expo.
Cheap for central paris, reception staff were very helpful.
Staff helpfull.
Good location.
Location.
Breakfast wasn't great, both in terms of food (just a croissant and a roll) and service. The two women working were brusque and inattentive.
Ok, the breakfast is slightly poor but it's the French way.
Room was small, breakfast consisted of a piece of bread and a croissant.
Using the elevator might be a challenge for overweight people, as space
is extremely tight especially when exiting.
The hotel has an unpolished feel at times, with unfinished plasterwork around newly installed cabling and such.
Small room but that's a standard in Paris hotels. The narrow stars and the small lift may be a problem for eldrely people or these carrying the big luggage.
We did not like the food in Paris do not cater for person with Gluten tolerance. very expensive.
Waiting for ages on our breakfast coming, I think this is a Parisian
trait though as we waited for a long time in every restaurant and cafe
we went into.
There is little smell in room.
The breakfast was a bit boring though.
nothing really.
no english tv channels.
Very compact hotel, but similar to other Paris hotels in same price range.
Rooms small and warn.
continental breakfast - kindly ask to add eggs, milk and corns, cheese.
There was nothing to not like.
Paris and the Chomel are expensive.
breakfast is too basic.
Room decor very tired, lots of marks on the wall. Only 1 plug!.
Room was small and the extra beds for our adult kids were wedged in, so not much room to move around. The lift is very small, one person and luggage at a time. Hall ways are very small. Breakfast was coffee, crosant and orange juice.
Hotel facilities state there is a lift but I was put on the 6th floor in the roof + you had to access it by a winding staircase from the 5th floor lift which is not good if you are 68 + have a heavy suitcase.
We stayed in The top floor and there was no elevator. The Air Condition
did not work, but the staff did compensate for it. Breakfast was small,
one small bread and croassaint.
Even though or especially since they are renovating they should put in a special effort to keep it as clean as possible.
Lift only allows one person with one piece of luggage. Hallways very very narrow only the width of your suitcase. We found this very claustriphobic. Bed very uncomfortable.
Hotel was very dated in the room. Room was in great need of an update in all respects from the bed linens to the bathroom.
Rude reception staff and rude breakfast staff. Overpriced.
Company handling internet service, they were clueless about network. It was a torture knowing how to fix the problem but to be forced to stand aside and watch (and experience) for 2 days technicians not knowing how to fix a simple problem. I would sugest the hotel to dump that tech company.
Rooms very small and the breakfast could be bigger.
Breakfast was bit light for me, a croissant, bread and coffee.
Dirty and worn out in general.
Cleanace and the room was very narrow.
Avoid room no 1.
price-value out of sync
old hotel
room standard is just ok.
I was really, really dissappointed. The hotel is perfect for students but not for families. The standard of the hotel is far from described. Place has not been renovated for years, rooms are tiny...
I chose the 3 stars hotel expecting a little bit more....
