The room was clean, bed was comfy and the location was great. Only a 10- minute walk to the Eiffel tower! We had a room overlooking a courtyard, so it was pretty quiet considering the 3 subway lines that were directly across the street. The concierge staff was helpful, especially Michel who offered us a croissant and coffee while we waited for our room to be ready (since we arrived extra early for check-in). He was very friendly, gave us a few restaurant suggestions and held our bags for us whi.
all reviews » We really like the location of the hotel, very close to everything. The metro 6 is in front of the hotel which will bring you to Denfert-Rochereau where you can take the Orlybus to Airport Orly directly which takes around 20 minutes. There were many supermarkets around the hotel and restaurants to eat. The price was reasonable for 3nights in Paris. Room was cleaned everyday. Nice staff very friendly. I liked how our room on the 1st floor faced to the Eiffel Tower even if we didn't ask for it. O. The location is truly great, just across the metro station. Close to fast food shops,I.e. McDonald's, big grocery, monoprix, catholic church, shopping like zara, h&m, pimko, swarovski, etc, nice restaurants, medium to expensive range (authentic French ones), bistros and pubs all over. Eiffel is two stops on metro or 15 minutes leisurely walk. bateaux mouche (boat rides on the seine) also two stones stones away! p.s. Rooms are big. One actually have room for luggage! Always clean. Great location (walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, the underground station LaMotte-Picquet Grenelle right across the street, a McDonald's on the street corner with a supermarket right across the street). Very clean room, with a good shower (not always the case in Paris). Quiet neighbourhood with plenty of places to eat nearby (always a must when you have children). Staff helpful and spoke English quite well. Extremely comfortable; right across the road from the metro without it creating a noise problem; close to great shopping, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets; 10 - 15 minute easy walk to the Eiffel Tower where you can catch the 'Hop on hop off' tour buses for all of the major attractions; wonderfully helpful staff. Couldn't fault it for comfort, location, cleanliness or value. Amazing hotel and great location (right in front of Metro station). There's everything you need around the hotel : cafes, Starbucks, supermarket, McDonalds for fast food, pharmacy. Perfect view of Eiffel tower from 5th floor. No noise at all despite being in front of a metro station. Fast WiFi connection all the time. Great staff - very accomodative and speak English fluently. Great localization. A lot of restaurants, shops, mini market and even McDonald if you would need cheap, fast and hot breakfast. The metro station is also at the hotel door. Moreover, it is just about 7 minutes by foot to the Champ de Mars. I recommend such a walk with some bottle of wine few minutes before 10 PM when those blinking lights are started on the Eiffel Tower. It has an elevator, which is something that very few small hotels in Paris have. Rooms are just like in the pictures. Right in front of the metro station. Right in the middle of shopping, metro (literally outside the door), sightseeing. Location is perfect given it's location reasonably close to the Eiffel Tower. They obliged for most of the week but occasionally gave us just the 1 large towel during our stay. We didn't get to use the AC, cause it had a bad smell coming out of it(maybe it just need to be clean) Luckily the weather was ok and allowed us not to turn the AC. There was no hotel name yet on the building! ( told it is new!) only the the address of 136 . Local calls also charged expensively. The rate didn't include breakfast. We did not have have breakfast at the hotel so I really can't comment on the food, but I think 12€ per person is quite expensive. All the other hotels I checked before deciding on this had similar prices, so this is not something unique to this hotel. You can have quite a good and less expensive breakfast in a patisserie or buy it at the supermarket and have a morning picnic on the Champ de Mars ( a 10-minute walk from the hotel). Other than this, everything was just fine. I can't think of anything. Nothing really. one night some metro lines did not operate due to a demonstration and there were continous announcements which we could hear faintly till midnight.since we only entered the room at 1130pm it was not a great inconvenience.However good sound proofing overall as street noise very little. Internet did not always worked well, rooms could have been cleaned a bit better. Price maybe on the high side, but Paris hotels are normally quite expensive. Nothing at all.... I would not like if I would opt for: - surcharge for room with Tour Eiffel view - rooms are to the street with light rail. Not so noisy but anyway. View is just on top of the Tour - Breakfast. Charge is EUR 12 but I am happy not deciding to use it. There are many cafes and bistros outside where you can enjoy parisien breakfast - and for less... Maybe breakfast cud be included. We would have enjoyed the opportunity to make a cup of tea or coffee in our own room. Most hotels we stay at have this facility, we missed it at Art Eiffel. Nothing really, didn't have any issues at all. Nothing in particular. Only the hotel has not put up its name board outside the building and is easy to miss while walking past. Could not pay with credit card, because the dataphone "apparently" did not work. That was the only inconvenience. Maybe the price is a bit on the high end, but Paris is anyway expensive. Smells not good in the hall. Broken door to open. So new that there was no sign outside, we had to use the address to find it. There was only 1 towel in the room and we were told no more were available until laundry was delivered the next day. Front desk didn't even have a corkscrew available. The size of the room - too small, but we managed to stay there without problems for 2 nights. Sometimes it's noisy outside . Our safe was broken in room and there was "nothing they could do about it" One of the staff members was not friendly. The rest were great!. house keeping, a little poor. Had to ask for TV remote and no bath towels on first day (just 4 regular towels by mistake). Internet connection. Went on and off constantly, so that I finally gave up. Security issue as the door are not properly closed after cleaning them. Nothing Special Actually. There've been one night, the reception was absent, and I got lock out of the gate for 5mins in the freezing late night. room was small but it was still ok. When I was there the wifi was not working (very annoying) and the television was only in French, no international channels available .... But small. No breakfast include.
