The room was excellent, clean and very comfortable. One of the best we've seen during our three week trip. The staff was outstanding. Very friendly and helpful. If I were King for a day, I would rate this as a three star hotel. I would recommend it to any body. It is close to the train station and within walking distance to the boardwalk. I will stay there again when I visit Nice again.
all reviews » Loved the hotel. Small but very comfortable room was spotless, as was the bathroom. Water pressure was marvelous, and there was plenty of hot water....something we don't always find in Europe. Location was literally 2 minutes walk to train station. There is no elevator, so getting up narrow stairway with a heavy bag could be difficult for some. We would definitely stay there again.The cheerful and enthusiastic welcome, the reassurance that if I couldn't get in later in the evening that I could ring a bell and the owner would come right away, the well-appointed bathroom, comfortable bed, quiet room,the varied breakfast selections, and swift checkout. The hotel has been totally refurbished and the rooms are really nice, tidy and very clean. The hotel Staff are extremely kind and helpful.Good location. Good price. Nice interior design features. The owners are oriental and it offers a sort of eastern minimalism, our room was in simple black and white, bathroom was spotless and the shower powerful enough. Low on pamper factor, but for a funcional short-stay hotel this was a great recommendation. 1.) I banged my head when climbing the stairs. It wasn't serious, but it could have been! 2.) Room was small, but this was already mentioned in the reviews; however, a wardrobe would have been useful 3.) There were no tea/coffee making facilities, but I had brought my own so it wasn't a problem.A bit far away from the restaurants etc. Would have liked better restaurants very close. Good if you are tired after a long day.Our room was the last available, so it located behind the reception. The window was narrow and towards the inner yard, therefore natural light was minimal. Despite of our doubts that the room could be noisy, because of the location, it actually was not, thanks to quiet quests. There was no lift in the hotel, which meant we had to lug our suitcases up 2 flights of stairs. The shower head was broken.Small room. The room was not what we paid for. Small room that two people could not move around at the same time and very expensive.Maybe a bit small ... The front lobby and hallways all smelled like fish, and the beds were uncomfortable.
