  The Aubèrge de Montségur is the most exquisite little inn located in delightfullly small village which reminds me a lot of Brigadoon. There is something other-worldly about this place. One almost feels as if one has stepped back several hundred centuries. It is a perfect fairytale inn in a perfect fairytale village. The mist rising over the valley... what people say » s in the morning and the smell of wood smoke, the lack of cars and people make this my idea of paradise. My room on the first floor overlooked the co - This is a magic little place, in a sleepy village high in the mountains, right at the bottom of Montsegur, within view of the Chateau. After trekking up the mountain to the Chateau, I was ravenous. Dinner was delicious. The manageress was welcoming, friendly and spoke English, She organised a taxi locally for my return to Foix.
