A few things were not made clear in the description of this hotel on letsbookhotel.com: 1) No credit cards are accepted 2) There may be a significant deposit 3) There is a $30+ cleaning fee 4) There is no front desk and you must arrange to meet the owner at the apartment. Also, there was no soap provided; for a one-night stay costing 210 euros, we had to go out and buy soap. Fortunately, there is a small grocery/market just across the street.
all reviews » Our host Laurent picked us up from the airport and was extremely helpful. He drove us to the apartment and gave us many helpful hunts for our stay. The apartment is compact and had all that we required for our stay. it was in immaculate condition.The bedroom is in a loft but this didn't worry us at all. simply, everything was nice.. clean n tidy room with a modern design in a 150 year old building or older.. the owner was extremely nice and cooporative.. welling to help at almost everything.. Great service, beautiful appartment, respectful owner, all of this is situated in the heart of the Old Lyon with a stunning view on the Fourviere Hill and St. George Cathedral. Loved everything about La Clef de St George. Laurent met us at the door, so friendly. Great location. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Well done, Laurent. Fortunately, there is a small grocery/market just across the street. can't find anything that i don't really like.. Leaving !. Cleaning costs extra - not advertised on the web site. Need to duck under old beam to access bed. The staircase was a bit dangerous, but fortunately there was an elevator.
