The people were friendly and helpful. They tried to assist us even though there was a language problem. The walk to the site was an easy walk. The price of the accomadations was extremely reasonable. We stayed in Paris and the bathroom was 1/3 the size. It was nice to have a large shower rather then the small closet we showered in Paris. Wifi was great. The hotel in Paris had an extremely slow connection.

Staff were courteous and helpful and appeared to have a genuine interest in making stay as le as possible. The hotel is well situated for access to the Domaine and the town. C'est tres calme, tres jolie.We are regular visitors to Lourdes and will almost certainly return to Residence du Soliel. The hotel is ideal for groups or family visiting the sanctuary. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. The rooms are spacious and the mini-kitchen is perfect for making breakfast and light meals. The price is reasonable. The staff were welcoming and very hospitable. The rooms were just as advertised. Nothing fancy but clean and just right for the price. Great location. As we visited during the off pilgrimage season, majority of the surrounding restaurants and shops are closed thus, we have to go to the old town for groceries or meals. However, the kitchenette helped a lot as we were able to make our own meals. Everything is good, except that the residence is not quite suitable for travllers reaching Lourdes by SNCF, since this residence is a bit far from the Gare SNCF de Loudres. Travellers opting for car could choose this place. (I made use of the self catering) No cups or mugs for coffee Bedside lights are not well placed. The food is not that great only few french food that we like most is for tourist. Nothing. lourdes is a ghost town in late Feb. The hot water was not hot enough. none. A little far from the Basilica. 1. no staff in the front desk from evening until morning. 2. there was no remote for the t.v. in the room. we had to wait till the next day to ask for one, but still the one they gave didn't work. 3. free change of towels and room cleaning come only every 5 days! you pay extra if you want those services everyday. Bathrooms were not very clean and as soon as I entered the room I could smell toilet odours. All the room. fluff and hairs around the room. Bedspreads and beds are old fashioned and unit smelled of antiseptic when we arrived. Just ok place. No cooking utilities. Stayed for nine days during which the room was never cleaned nor the linens changed. Maid service consists of only dumping the trash. The location is not close to the sanctuary. If you are going to cook in the room the closest supermarket (Monoprix) is 1.5 km away at the top of a steep hill.
