We spent three days at the hotel following a long drive from Italy and were seeking relaxation before returning to England via the ferry from Caen. We were not disappointed. Being the end of season it was very quiet but the staff were delightful and we were delighted with the quality of the food. The room was light, airy and comfortable and we slept well. We liked the area too. Calm, friendly stay in a spectacularly beautiful coastal location, with great views and walks. Half-board menus were varied and excellent, while the 'cuisine minceur' menu helped us compensate for the occasional Breton crepe at lunchtime. Wonderful adult holiday; good beaches and boating opportunities also.

The hotel is modern and well equipped and on the same time the style gets you back in time 100 years. Privacy is respected, the personnel is helpful without too much presence. It gives you the "at home" feeling from the gate. The location was perfect as was the weather. Loved the decor of the hotel. The food was very good and the Brasserie at the port which is owned by the hotel is more informal with a different menu selection and is good value. Comfortable hotel in a good location on the coast within its own grounds with a private beach and only a short walk from the harbour. Good restaurant overlooking the garden & the sea. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were there for a wedding and they arranged a taxi and an early morning breakfast the day of our departure. The welcome was lovely and the location was totally amazing. The owner of the hotel was very friendly. We will both return for a longer stay next time. The hotel was very well run and the restaurant food was delicious and waiters courteous and professional. welcomed our 6 month old dog. The friendly welcome, idyllic situation, charming village all enhanced by the weather which for us was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay and very much look forward to returning. The only thing which wasn't quite right was the smell of drains in our bathroom. We reported this to reception and they were as surprised with it as we were. I'm optimistic it was a one off. Very little - though some might feel no-minibar or turn-down service and no 24-hour room service was a problem. We were happy to be left in peace and to use the room as we saw fit. Most chairs in lobby and lounge area were cane - not particularly comfortable to sit in - apart from 3 sofas. On the expensive side but no more than other similar hotels in Brittany. Sometimes the sun beds are not enough for all the guests. We were very surprised and disappointed we weren't able to watch Wimbledon as the hotel didn't subscribe to Canal+ which we would have expected in a 4* international hotel. Our room was at the rear overlooking the church (our choice as there are high premiums for rooms with sea/river views) but it was rather small. Lack of clear directions for finding the Hotel. Leaving !. No tea/coffee making facilities in the bedrooms. Quite expensive. The cost of the food. Price, small room, no fridge, no tea of coffee.
