Anne runs one of the most comfortable and friendly inns we've ever enjoyed. We've traveled extensively, and it's hard to find a place that makes you feel at home even as you enjoy the luxury of being on vacation. Anne and her family are a treasure and it would be hard to be disappointed with a stay at the Le Prince Grenouille. It helps too that Anne speaks English and tolerates poor French! We loved our three night visit and would certainly return as it was a great base from which to explor.
all reviews » Very quiet location in the countryside, but very close to Chinon. Excellent place to use as base to explore the main wine appellations in the area. Owner is very nice and friendly. Very nice 19th century mansion. Excellent value. We will stay in the same place if we return to the Loire region. Everything! Beautiful old chateau-farmhouse-mansion in the country, and in a month of traveling in France, the nicest, friendliest hostess! Centrally located for chateau sight-seeing. Fun in every way. a beautiful chateaux,we really loved it, it was so comfortable and the gardens and pool were stunning , the breakfast was amazing, such good value , we will be back , patricia and family, Cape Town. The chateau was beautiful and Anne did her best to ensure we were well looked after. The breakfasts were excellent. The pool was a great break from the heat and in lovely surroundings. We loved it. What a friendly host and pretty chateau. Swimming pool was lovely though a little cold for our children. The animals were a hit with our children. Nice breakfast too. The accommodation is in an old a atmospheric chateau with large rooms. The owners are friendly and keen to please. The breakfast was particularly good. Friendly and informative owners. Separate entrance to visitor accommodation, dining room and sitting room. Homemade jams, yogurts etc.. For breakfast. Our room was huge. Shower was great and really included a great breakfast. Beautiful building. Lady who owned the building was wonderful. Staying in a genuine 17th century French chateaux. The whole ambience of the chateaux was excellent. Everything.
