We stayed here for 8 nights with a view to visiting the numerous
attractions in the area. We cannot speak highly enough of our hosts,
Susan and Simon, the accommodation and the food. The room was lovely,
the bed comfortable and the bathroom spacious and equipped with good
quality fittings. The generous continental breakfast was a treat with
fresh fruit salad every day and eggs cooked to order. Susan provides an
excellent 4 course dinner with wine for 20 euros. There are also a

Tout! Everything was fabulous! Our hosts, the house, our bedroom, the
bathroom, the great homemade dinner, the castle around the corner, the
courtyard, we even met very nice guests there! And had the garden to
ourselves for dinner! Very very quiet, beautiful place. We both adored
it. We'll definitely go again someday. Peaceful, relaxing setting

Susan and Simon are excellent, relaxed and natural hosts. They emailed me once I had made a booking to see if they could be of further assistance which set the tone. The residence is beautifully restored with an attention to detail. The decor and furnishing give the place a fresh individual style mixed with some great F1 memorabilia and other artwork from around the globe. It was interesting to talk with Simon and Susan about their inspiration and the journey to create 5 Grande Rue. Very comfo.
Warm, friendly welcome from Simon and Susan in their beautiful house. Nothing was too much trouble; we had a lovely room with a very comfy bed and clean, luxurious bathroom. Susan cooked a delicious evening meal and breakfast was just right with fresh fruit and. croissants. Secure parking in the grounds, we really enjoyed our stay and will be back for more. A perfect stopover when travelling to SW France.
Simon and Sue were superb hosts, making us feel very welcome. The house and gardens were beautiful, the rooms of high standard and the bed was one of the best we have slept in. The evening meal was wonderful home cooking, delicious. All in all we had the most enjoyable stay and would highly recommend a visit. We felt it offered that little extra, giving it the wow factor! We will definitely go again.

A nice old building handy for Le Mans and the Loire sympathetically renovated by a very welcoming British couple with top quality fixtures and fittings. Very comfortable bedrooms and well appointed bathrooms. The breakfast was good and the optional evening meal was an enjoyable investment. Highly recommended.
Sue and Simon are a great couple that made us feel very welcome right from the start. The house has been renovated to a high standard, with original features retained, each bedroom has it own individual style, is spacious and very comfortable. It is a perfect place to stay, if you are touring the area.
We stayed as part of a business trip working in the local area and found everything about our stay delightful. Food and accommodation were excellent and the hosts Simon and Susan were found to be both charming and resolved in their desire to ensure our time at Grande Rue was totally pleasurable.
