Oh my goodness! If only we had known how wonderful this place was going to be and how amazing our hosts would be...we would have left our touring bicycles in their shed for so much longer :) From the moment we arrived - 101kms of bike riding behind us - our hosts were so thoughtful. We had a choice between the two spacious and gorgeous bedrooms so we chose the one with the large shower bathroom (rather than the one with the stunning bath-tub) so that we scrub the sun-screen and dust off). all reviews » Cambellii is more than a B&B; it is the heart & soul of French hospitality and style. From the moment you enter you feel the warmth from Elizabeth & her husband. Their home is beautiful and the garden magnificent, a perfect place to sit and relax after a long drive. Elizabeth kindly recommended restaurants in the area and we chose the pizzeria Don Camillo for our evening meal (excellent). In the morning we were treated to a superb breakfast which consisted of fresh pastries, fruit, . We stayed at Cambelllii for 4 nights and really enjoyed our time there. Elizabeth obviously loves doing Chambre d'Hote. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast in the conservatory generous and varied. The garden was peaceful with its magnificent magnolia and cedars. But best was her wellcome - despite our rusty french we were treated like visiting relatives and invited to join them for drinks and on a day out. We cannot thank them enough. Langon is a good base for exploring the Sau. Outstanding. After a long bikeride, we arrived in Langon after all restaurants were closed (9 pm). We did not ask for anything, but the hostess offered to make us dinner herself which we enjoyed very much. Lovely room. Beautiful garden. Clean. Very friendly, helpful and sparkling hostess. The bedroom and house were beautifully decorated and Patrick and Elizabeth were very friendly and helpful in advising where to go and what to do. Langon is perfectly located to visit the vineyard and is just half an hour from Bordeaux. Finally the breakfast was delicious!. Warm welcome with drinks on arrival. Beautiful garden which we were free to wander round. Charming old French house with modern touches. Very good breakfast with homemade preserves. Would definitely stop here again. A real find. This was our second stay this year (reviewed May 18th) and it was every bit as good as before. Look forward to returning to Cambellii in the future. The charming ambience, the very friendly owner and the convenient location - en route from Brittany to Provence. Warm welcome and very pleasant stay, breakfast was excellent!.
