  The location is excellent, just off the main Issudun shopping street, yet very quiet. The garden rooms are a real haven of calm and peace. Staff are friendly and patient with our attempts at speaking French. Best of all is the restaurant with fantastic gourmet food in a comfortable, traditional setting - a little expensive, but we think it's wor... what people say » th it. We have stayed here on a number of occasions over the past ten or so years and feel it's like coming home each time we visit. - We have meet the owner and his wife in Cahors and liked their food. when we came to La Cognette they remembered us strait away and gave us a very warm welcome. The food was fatastic and when we asked for a special meal, this was made for us. We celebrated my husbands 70 Birthday, and they remembered this and he even got a present. we felt so much at home so this is the place for us to celebrate special events in the future.
