&Quot;Les Suites" is a great option in Chambery, with all the modern conveniences (wifi, mini-fridge, large flatscreen tv) and also full of romantic charm. The location near the cathedral is perfect. Our room "Uccello" was large, comfortable, and warmly decorated. The hosts were welcoming and attentive while allowing us our privacy. Chambery is a lovely little city and three nights was not too long a stay, even in less than ideal weather. We'd love to return to Chambery and to Les Suites.
all reviews » We've travelled around France for the past month and this is the loveliest room we've stayed in. Our hostess was welcoming, gracious and helpful. The room was marvellous - huge, beautifully decorated and absolutely charming. The bathroom was spacious and modernized. We enjoyed the sitting room, and had a very nice breakfast in the large and homey kitchen. All in all it was a memorable stay. The location is inside the 'old' town and is a classic old style with 12 ft plus ceilings, very spacious. Many of the streets are just tunnels and there are restaurants everywhere. It is a medieval experience! The owner Phillipe is a talented musician himself and very accommodating. The apartment was fabulous . Great to relax in the evening with the kids. We could play together after the full day of travelling .The owners are very friendly and hospitable. The flat is from the 17th century , in the heart of the city . The room decor was simple, but room was huge and comfortable with a nice ambience. Being right in the centre of the old town was perfect and the hospitality was excellent - Phillippe and his wife were extremely helpful and welcoming. Beautiful old restored building. The space was comfortable , well appointed and very clean. It was very convenient to the old town in Chambery and parking was very close. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The staff were great! very welcoming on arrival and departure. Great old building with large room and comfy bed. The breakfast was awesome. One of the better hotels I have used in Europe. EVERY THING about the hotel, PHILLIP was very helpful and a wonderful host.. FANTASTIC accommadation and stay, will be returning for another visit. The place was unique, beautiful and stylish. Awesome what a find unbelievable. the manager and the breakfast. location and rooms. The whole deal. Leaving!. We had already read the the location was a little tricky by car (but that's often the trade off to perfect location!), as some of the streets are blocked off so printing out a map of the immediate streets and calling ahead for arrival times helps manage that. There were fire places but no fire! (Not that fire was indicated in hotel description). Many steps(2 flights) if you are not fit. maybe the shower could be a bit improved upon. Prefer to have stand alone shower, not mixer over bath. no parking facilities, and only able to check in, or be let in after 17.00. The view from the room wasn't great but it was quiet. Car parking not available on site.
