The hotel staff was very accomodating, especially because we arrived after the desk closed and they left a note for us to enter. Also we had five people staying in a room for four, and they had no problems providing us with an extra bed, towels, etc without us even asking for it. The room was very clean, and we even had a balcony! And the price was wonderful!. Located in the centre of Caen, this pretty hotel is close to the shopping area, le Chateaux Ducal, the Quai etc... The owners were very helpful. The location is perfect, parking is just down the street. Easy walking to restaurants and local sights. The rooms are very comfortable. Into the very city center. Good quality. Optimum price. Breakfast. The TV was modern, the room was comfortable and the lady who we met at reception was lovely.Right in the middle of town by the pedestrian zones! The staff was very very helpful and friendly, and they told us where to go and what to see in Normandy, and where the best museums were. Great hotel, great price!. We would have liked to stay for more than one night, but since we were touring throughout France, only one night at the Astrid was on our agenda.The owners are very friendly. On street parking, payable only in two hour increments between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. no elevator. Very small bathroom. Parking was dificult. Mattresses. Lack of parking. No parking near by. Lack of parking - but as we only stayed one night not a major issue for us and car was safely left on street. room smelled very damp. Rooms quite small. Lobby/Reception area also small.Lack of easy parking, no restaurant, cramped room.
