This is a well run hotel..My 2 yr loved it which is the most important thing to me. I would return again and reccomend this hotel to anyone who needs somewhere to put their head before catching the ferry/tunnel. It is suitable to children!! The owner did not speak english but she had someone on stanc by toe translate...she could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. The staff were very friendly - although they said they did not speak English they knew enough to recommend some very good restaurants (without us asking too). Family run, and it shows - they care about your stay. Excellent, friendly staff who made this most of problems beyond their control. Provided as close to secure parking for my motorcycle as possible.Cheap and cheerful, very good value for a weekend away. The room was clean and comfortable, The member of staff we had contact with were helpful and courteous. The Hotel was closed when we arrived and did not feel very welcoming. On ringing the bell though someone did appear. Breakfast was expensive and should be included for the price of the room. Parking not secure and had to move car early on Sunday morning as there was a market right outside the hotel. Directions to hotel poor, bed small, shower and wash basin were in room. The room had a strange smell and the mattress could have been more comfortable as I could feel the metal springs. The stairwells and room stank of stale tobacco smoke - very unplesant! The room was small with a 4' 6" bed, which was too short for me (I'm 5' 8" tall.) The bed was quite uncomfortable with a 'dip' in the middle. All facilities were basic which I suppose was reflected in the price. The breakfast which was 6.50 Euros was ok but croissants/bread were not replenished when finished. Location - dodgy!. Lack of room facilities, particularly tea/coffee making and no English channel on the TV. No staff on Sunday. Unable to access hotel.noisy. No twin beds. by arrival no one at reception. Very much noise, both from outside and from inside. No one on reception when we arrived, had to wait in the rain beforeanother resident appeared and was able to let us in. The walls arepaper thin and very noisy; the room smelt of smoke. It is cheap, but itisn't worth it.
