The Hotel was conveniently located near the train station and near the center of town, within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to do or see. It was located on a quiet street and had safe, secure parking. The management and staff were pleasant and accomodating. The woman at the reception was phenomenal- she made all of our tour reservations for us, gave us suggestions, and even made us tea when it was cold outside. Also, the hotel is well located and the room was quite large by European standards.

Also, the wireless internet wasn't the best- it was free, though, so I guess one can't complain.Not enough hot water for three people. no complaints - we were very pleased. The parking was a little expensive and the double mattress was older and not that comfortable. we paid €10 for off-street parking however, the staff were needed to open and close gate to allow us to move which just became a hassle. We ended up just parking on the street.visitors need to remember that the blinds for the rooms are located outside the window. Parking is limited to around 5-6 cars. But there is plenty of safe, free street and public parking next to the hotel.The lady manning the reception (I believe she was the owner) did not seem to speak much English and was a little cold/business-like ie. not warm. Nonetheless, she was helpful to provide cutlery when she directed us to have our packed lunch in the breakfast room (no eating allowed in the room), and also offered to book us a tour of Le Mont St Michel when we asked. Accomodations are somewhat spartan, but servicable. We purchased one large room for 4-5 people since there were four in our group. We were divided into two rooms for the same price. One room had a tub with telephone shower and the other room had a small shower. Water pressure was excellent. There is a toilet in each room in a separate small room.'do not disturb' signs would have been useful for those of us who like to sleep in!. The window in my l room did not open, since there was no air conditioning it made the room a bit hot and stuffy at this time of the year.Although plentiful, breakfast offerings were limited in variety. The room was cold when we arrived. It took time warming it up.not really, breakfast was basic but there was enough of it.

Travelling information

By Car:
- From Paris take the Normandy A13 motorway towards Caen.
- Arrive at north peripheral Caen. Take the exit towards Cherbourg-Bayeux.
- Take junction 36 towards Bayeux. Follow Bayeux until you reach the Eisenhower roundabout.
- At Bayeux, go around the Eisenhower statue roundabout. Take the second exit to Boulevard Montgomery which continues as Boulevard Sadi Carnot.
- At the next roundabout, take the first road on the right for 200 m, and then the first left for 200 m.
- The hotel is on your left.

From Saint-Lô - Route D972 and D572 36 km:
- At Bayeux, arrive at the first roundabout. Take the first exit on the right. At the second roundabout, take the second exit on the left, and then take Rue Tardif on the first left.

From Cherbourg - N13 to Caen:
- Take junction 37 marked Balleroy and St.lô. Head towards Bayeux.
- Follow above directions from Bayeux.

By Train:
2 hours by train from Paris Saint Lazare station. If you arrive by train please advise us of your arrival time. We can also reserve a Renault rent-a-car for you. The Renault garage is situated 5 minutes' walk from the station; ask for the conditions from the hotel by email.
