This Country House is a gem. It is a bit off the beaten track but if you
don't mind driving a bit out of Verdun it is well worth the drive.
When setting the gps we found the hotel to be a few more Kilometers up
the same road on the right. The gps stopped in the middle of no where so
we just keep going as we knew we were in the correct town because of the
signage. It is run by a husband and wife who purchased it in 2005? and
have made a wonderful bed and breakfast out of it. It has been
painstak. all reviews »
We were so pleasantly surprised by this gem of a place and cannot wait to return in the near future! The owners have taken care of every detail and went out of their way to be hospitable, friendly, helpful and warm, taking great care to ensure our comfort. Pierrette and Jacky have created an oasis where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside.
Very generous and hospitable property owners. Extremely thoughtful hrlped to wash and dry our washing. Wanted to wash our plates because we were on holidays. Felt honored to stay amongst beautiful and valuable furnishings and antiques. Would recommend to all as a place to visit. Beautiful home cooked breakfast a huge tick for our hosts.
Great spot! Beautiful suite as letsbookhotel.com calls it. Meaning your own
bath- and bedroom plus kitchen and living room. Perfectly decorated by
the owners with a great sense for every tiny detail. We could certainly
recommend this great place with its very hospitable owners who renovated
the whole chateau themselves.
Very friendly welcome, extensive accommodation all very comfortable. The owners were helpful in finding a nearby restaurant open on a Sunday night and when we said we would have to leave without breakfast in the morning, they insisted on putting together a pack of sandwiches and drinks for us. Outstanding.
Really great venue if one likes old castles. Breakfast was out of this world with pretty well home made everything. Wonderful couple running it. Dog friendly. Excellent walks near village.

The only negative was the double bed. We are not used to sleeping in a
double bed anymore and it seemed quite small. However, one can survive
and if only a twosome you can always use the single bed that is in the
same room to have more individual sleeping space. We had our friend
along who used the third bed. Other than the above, no complaints.
WIFI would be a plus.
Wifi would be nice to have.
Had to drive to nearest town to get an evening meal.
Nothing at all it was truly perfect.
