Great hotel only 15 minutes from Mont St. Michel. In the small town of Antrain, in a wonderfully restored building. The restoration and décor are very tasteful, charming and most comfortable. Our accommodations on the third floor were outstanding. The breakfast was incredibly delicious and very generous. Rodolphe was a very gracious host and very helpful for restaurants and things to see. Very good value as well. (Internet connection, if you need it, was very strong.) A 10 out of 10.
all reviews » Great room, a lot bigger than the picture indicate. Room was clean and tidy, and very nicely decorated. The bath in the room was a nice touch. Lots of great facilities at the B&B that were easy to use and available 24/7. The room was worth a lot more than the €60 a night price tag. Bathroom was fine, despite being separate. Antrain is a great location for all the tourist stuff nearby, don't overlook a trip to Dol-de-Bretagne, which is lovely. Breakfast was awesome!. Rodolphe was a delightful and interesting host. He made us most welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The individual nature of all the rooms was excellent. A luxurious breakfast was served in the dining room. Although we did not use other facilities it was clear that cinema facilities were available, also a beautiful garden with a small pool. Private parking was available. It is very close to visit many other areas such as Le Mont St Michel and Cancale. This B&B is lovelly and very comfortable. The entire house is decorated in an antique style which gives it a charming and romantic environment. The owner was very welcoming and kind. For those who enjoy drinking tea, the bedrooms are equipped with klettle. We highly recommend this B&B. This is a very up market B and B with extra facilities including an outside relaxation area with jacuzzi and a small cinema. A lovely old house tastefully decorated and full of charm. Very friendly welcome. This was a cosy and well set up boutique hotel. The host was welcoming and helpful, the attic room was spacious,charming and met all our needs. Breakfast was delightful. Lovely garden with covered area where we ate our supermarket bought dinner, owner providing us with crockery and cutlery. Secure bike storage. Nothing. Minimal soundproofing between rooms/landing/floors!!! No shower (Brits might be put off by this). No where to eat at night in Antrain when we arrived on the Sunday. No a/C. But these are all minor quibbles. I would stay again. Unfortunately there was only one bar to have a simple meal on the day we arrived. As we were only staying one night this was no problem to us. We were provided with details of other restaurants not far away from Antrain. There was nowhere in town to eat that night. Fortunately the next town is just a few minutes away and had plenty of life and a lovely brasserie. Slow speed internet. Separate toilet on landing if we were were going to be picky. Unfortunately we stayed on a sunday night and dinner was not avaiable. There was no place open in Antrain either so we had to drive to a nearby village. Hated the bother of driving again but considering everything it was a small inconvenience which did not detract from the overall positive experience. Problems with hot water. We arrived early, disturbing the owner's siesta. We accept that this was our fault and did not see the very small notice saying that we could use the garden. It would have been helpful if the owner had told us this as we had to find somewhere shady to spend 2.5 very hot hours as we were cycling. No restaurant and nothing in the town but we bought from the supermarket, see above.
