Surprisingly large and surprisingly quiet as well, Domus Academica is a good place for those who like minimalism and is seld-contained. There are several buildings, including houses for living, swimming pool and sauna (the two last-mentioned are free for visitors: every morning from 7 till 8:30 for women and from 8:30 till 10 for men). It was very cheap compared to other self-catering options, and the windows effectively shut out noise from the streets. There wasn't an endless party going on as in some hostels. Staff was friendly and the commonroom had both wifi and the equipment we needed for cook

Very frendly staff - I had asked some questions a few times and always have got answers. Very thin walls (it's not bad, but a feature), we can hear all our neighbors speaking about. At one night they started speaking between 2-3 am. I got angry and told them very loudly "Keep Silence!" At the same moment they finished their speaking and said me "K... what people say » iitos". - The hotel is extremely clean and very comfortable. We forgot our slippers and walked in the room and corridors barefoot. Showers are for common use, but you do not notice anyone near, like your private one. Showers are separated from toilets and very clean inside. In the center of Turku, easy to find. Hotel has private parking in the yard for 5-7 cars.
