Riia Villa is a very comfortable place to stay. My room was small, but very clean and well maintained. The hostess spoke English and was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent, best I've had so far. It is a long way from the bus station though. I would highly recommend taking a local bus. When you leave the bus station, after you arrive inTartu, turn right and walk to the big intersection. This is Riia. The bus you want is Number 1, on the opposite side of the street. It costs 1 Euro. all reviews » The villa is placed in the perfect retreat: a quaint residential area, extremely green and quiet, with beautiful scenery. A walk around the neighbourhood gives you a glimpse of the peaceful life of the dwellers of Tartu. The view is very pretty and the rooms are clean and welcoming, if maybe rather small and simple. The bathroom is impeccably clean and modern. The breakfast is very varied and rich (you have to try the herring and the porridge!). The hosts are very nice and helpful. Out 3-day st. Really nice, friendly and pleasant staff. Quiet location, I could get a perfect night sleep in this environment. Also the huge bath was a surprise, too bad I was too tired to use it. Everything was neat and clean. Also breakfast looked very appetizing, although I didn't have that much time to eat. We had a nice suite for max 3 persons. The villa and the room was in excellent condition. The villa is surrounded by gardens with a lot of trees. Quiet area. Breakfast was included and was good. Free parking space. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was clean and nice. The staff is really friendly and kind. They prepared everything just as we asked, if it wasn't and easy-peasy thing. Probably it was too hot during the night, but it was my fault I was too lazy to get up and open the window. Very quiet suite, but the ventilation hole above the double bed gave a constant noise through the night. Because of no cooling system, the room can get hot because there are only see-through curtains at the windows. Therefore, in mid-summer, there is also too much light at nights. We solved this problem with blankets that we had in the car. The TV was small and very difficult to handle, because of TV + digibox. We booked two rooms, and one of the rooms the water from the shower flushed the bathroom. we liked everything. there were no curtains in room. There was no hair drier in the room. There was no remote control for TV and noone to ask from due to late hour. Considering the price, such things could be avoided for better comfort of the guests. I could not find from street in first time. I found in second time, behind another house. Not sign on the street. I liked all. The room did not have curtains against day light. Bit deserted Isolated part of town. smoll parking. Location is a problem, kind of far from the center. but luckily there's a bus stop right by the hotel. Breakfast was rather basic, from the website you can not understand that rooms are quite small, you need a car to get around. Room smell, I believe many other guests were smoking in the room. very far from the old town,but there is a bus you can use to reach the town centre.
