After spending some time researching for a hotel in La Zona Colonial, Santo Domingo, we found that this hotel had great reviews and was very central. So we decided to stay there and it lived to our expectations. I loved that the room was very clean. Also, the ambiance of the place and its historic feeling took us away from the city, and we felt like we were somewhere far away... The building was amazing, the room was breathtaken, the bed was comfortable. A very clean hotel, the staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was nice. Location was really good, close to everything, and very safe. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Rooftop was great for relaxation. An oasis in the middle of Zona Colonial, in Santo Domingo! From the entrance doors - heavy wood & wrought iron...the lounge, to the beautiful courtyard...so calming. The rooms are small, but very adequate. The location in the old sectiopn of town was excellent, as my wife and I could walk to almost all of the old historical sites. The only far away was the Botanical Garden,to which we took a Taxi. Will definitely stay again. Quiet, attentive staff with a homely feeling. I am trained culinarian and actually wanted to go into the kitchen and prepare lunch for the staff.....maybe one day. Is a beautiful house. More the 500 years old. The location is excellent . In the old Santo Domingo area. Is only 11,room. .. My bed better in impossibly. No compleit. The staff was excellent. When you put the two twin beds together to make it a king, it could use something so that there isn't a space in the middle of the bed; it gets a little uncomfortable. Also, the hotel got pretty noisy in the morning. The staff did notspeak the basic english, they only speak spanish and french. but that happens to all the dominican republic so... The room did not have any shampoo. Very small shower in #10, very hard beds and only 1 small water bottle per room. I am a fairly tall person, and the shower stall was a bit small for me. No dislikes. But, a larger par stock of linen and towels would be ideal. I have some creative ideas if the owner of management would like to contact. Again, a great B&B. For my expectation is ok everything. I wonder if the taxi was overpriced at $40 from the airport to the hotel. The street at night was not well lit once you crossed Calle Arzobizpo Nouel, heading towrads El Conde. Might have been nice to have a more Dominican breakfast. Mangú and eggs would have been great, for example. And fresh Dominican bread rolls. Lack of soy milk for my wife's coffee. No hot water for showers. Pricey. Rooms are not so large. When we arrived the woman who check us in was bothered with our questions and concerns with parking and use of the safe. She definitely did not like her job. The room had a smell of mold. Shower stalls were tiny and beds could be more comfortable. Very hot in breakfast area. The other guests smoking in the morning in the chairs right outside our door. Rooms are a bit small. The chairs in the dining area are very noisy (need pads on the feet) And maybe pads on the seats!. No cats to pet... We enjoyed everything. A lot of mosquitos, bell ringing at the entrance during the night. Noise. No sign of management Bed so hard I checked out next day Amenities poor (towels etc) Breakfast buffet unappealing Could be fabulous with some flair attention. Be careful! I asked staff to wake me up at 2:00 AM and call a taxi. They just forgot about it... The staff was not very helpful and constantly looking for tips. Our room's AC was leaky, the room's floor was gritty, and the room smelled musky.
