What a jewel of a place. Well situated on the edge of the town , 5 to 10 minutes walk to centre also a lovely park near by. Free parking. Plenty of choice for breakfast the owners very pleasant and a lovely room with a small garden to sit outside. We only stopped one night on our tour of Denmark would definitely book again if we return to Denmark. The Ansgarhus Motel lives up to it's great reviews. It is simple, comfortable and scrupulously clean. A really nice breakfast is provided with the most welcoming friendly host who goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. I was very sad to leave and will certainly be returning.
all reviews » Excellent location within easy walking distance of the centre of Odense. Very friendly and welcoming owner who made our short visit very enjoyeable. It was easy to access by car from the motorway and there is good parking. Altogether it is an excellent place to stay. Extremely personable and helpful owner - who made you feel very much at home, and called on our behalf to make inquiries about opening times at restaurants, etc. Rooms were extremely cozy and comfortable, and the location is perfect. Great breakfast as well!. The host was lovely and very willing to help, the atmosphere was private and everything was absolutely clean and nicely decorated - feels like home! Nothing!. Water from shower spread on to rest of bathroom floor. Beds to soft. Rooms were slightly dated. Room doors aren't soundproof, which means if there is loud talking in the hallway or breakfast room, it can be noisy. Expensive for a b/b but it is Denmark. No real dislikes. Best for overnight stays - no storage facilities in rooms.
