The people at recetion had quite a bit of english and were very helpful and willling to help at any time with any thing.The room was cleaned everyday even if you were in your room when the passed they would come back around later and clean.hotel florenc is in such a wonderful location too rite beside the metro literally accross the road and same for busses. Hotel Florenc was a small friendly and comfortable hotel.The staff were very helpful and pleasant.Breakfast was plentiful and fresh.The location was good not too far from the centre of the old town if you wanted to walk.Metro and Trams were only minutes away.Would definately reccommend this hotel.

Very good price, breakfast. The location of the Hotel Florenc is close to the Florenc Metro Stop and also an easy walk from the main areas of downtown. My 8 and 5 year old children handled the walking tour of Prague with ease. Breakfast excellent, staff very friendly, room kept very warm in the deepest of winter, easy walking distance to main city, low cost. Good location.Clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely stay again.I stayed there just for a night and felt quite happy, because it was after a hard trip and I could finally relax in your hotel!. Location - we travelled to Brno the next day from Florenc StationReception Staff were helpful and polite . breakfast was abit skimpy toast with cheese or meat n cerials no very umm filling....small refrigerator in numder ) and improvement Wi-Fi because very low signal. Walls not well soundproofed (on top floor at least) Breakfast was basic - but considering the room price was good value.There wasn't Nutella for breakfast. The heat in the room at night was unadjustable, i barely slept and sweated through 2 nights. The breakfast was minimal and finished at 10am, too early i feel for holiday makers. Our room was near the service area at the back and the noise in the morning of bins banging around was very annoying.No air conditioning to rooms and traffic noise at night. The cleanliness.There was a smell coming from the bathroom when we first walked in thedoor, we opened the windows and let fresh air in the room and the smellwas gone. The food in the restaurant was really good, but the staffdidnt speak english and had only one handwritten english menu. Beds inthe room were really hard, no alarm clock, no refrigerator in the room,and the room heat couldn't be adjusted. some specific comments: the fan in our room did not work (so we resorted to opening the upper windows, no problem) and even though there was a walk-in shower, it was up a step in a clumsy configuration--with a wet/slippery floor surface and lack of any handrails or something to grab onto, my father was unable to take a shower at this hotel. Apart from Eva the receptionist the staff generally were a little miserable and the breakfast staff need to cheer up, they were very serious and no personality. Breakfast was as expected but value for money was exceptional. Everything is ok for an average student who wants to live in good conditions for a comfotable living!. Area wasnt the best, theres a street you have to walk down to get to the center which didnt feel safe at night, but theres a metro stop a minute from the hotel. Our room was at the front so there was some traffic noise at night. Restaurant and bar closed for refurbishing. Air conditioning needed although a large fan was provided. The breakfast is very poor (containing ham/pork in 50% of items), TV is small, no suction in bathroom (bad ventillation). The parking was not very secure. Pedestrians were not restricted from walking throught the parking lot.Directions on how to get there are very poor and need improving. (It is right round the corner from the nearest Mestro and not easy to find). The carpet in the room was long past its replacement date. Otherwise, room fine. Good , newly refurbished bathroom. Breakfast, noise from main street. Did not like the scaffolding outside hotel. No air-conditioning.First day we lived on the backside 2-nd floor and in the court there are containers for rubbish. Noisy and smelling. Up to the 2 day we received a room higher and considerably better. Buffet-breakfast - middling. The beds were far too hard - found it uncomfortable. We asked for some extra pillows to lie on and that made it fairly comfortable.There was no air-conditioning and the street was extremly noisy in the morning hours. Mattresses very poor my partner and I had backache for several hours every day, otherwise provisions were as expected for a 3* hotel. Breakfast poor value, coffee putrid. Very hot on top floor, noisy if windows opened for ventilation at night. Mattresses must be improved before I could recomend it.the hotel was good,but could maybe provide coffee facilities either in rooms or in lobby, and bread toasting facility at breakfast time, but good hotel for the young traveller on a city break. Even though we booked the hotel on a short notice, the management failed to advise us about the broken elevator. To be fair, the reception staff offered his help to carry the luggage to the fourth floor, but still, things like that need to be communicated to the guests prior to arrival. Also, parking was some 5 minutes away, which was not a problem for me, but other guests might want to know this.I have been to hotels the same qualilty and same location in Prague, but cheaper. The floor could have been cleaner, it is very used. The room should have been AC'd.The breakfast was small but provided a good start to the day. We had dinner there and the food was very good. The mattress was extremely hard and the shower had a choice of cold and hot. Have done lots of travelling in Europe but have never met such an unmannerly lady as the one working in reception eg; looking to the sky when asked a question and a grunt from her as i was leaving, it was'nt a communication issue as her english was very good.Also, the guy who was there as i checked in was the most unenthustiastic guy i ever met, i decided not to ask him about sights,excursions etc. Breakfast is so limited. As limited as "there is no breakfast". The breakfast is little bit "poor" but still fair enough.Restaurant - we used this hotel 2 years ago , arrived late and theyprovided some good Czech food at a decent price . Same situation thisyear , but different bar staff , who did not want to serve us at first andthen decided they would as we walked away , but the price charged wasinflated (as it was late ?).
