The hotel is located on the 3rd and 4th floor of an old classical buidling. The hotel staff is extremely friendly. The rooms and the bathrooms are very clean and big enough. Breakfest is in a very nice sunny room, and very sufficient. Wifi connection sufficient. I was very happy to be there because it was cheap and very near to the Metro "Museum", and the Venzel Square. Most of all I like the staff of Balbin hotel. It is the most hospitable and friendliest of all hotel staffs I have ever seen.
The location of the hotel is also great. I think that this hotel is a great value for money. I would definitely stay in this hotel again if I come to Prague.
They had a burst water pipe and we were upgraded to a hotel in the same street that was absolutely fabulous. Using the metro you can commute to any destination. Locality is great and staff were accommodating and kind with making sure that we were OK.
The receptionist is very kind and friendly, she always tries to do her best to offer the best service. Hotel is close to the main train station and room was comfortable.

No air condition, but there is a radiator. No hair dryer. No shampoo. You need to climb up 1 floor in steps to get into a lift which takes you to the reception to the 4th floor, wherefrom you have to climb again half floor. One cen get used to it.
If you get a room in the pub side, it can be a bit noisy.
If I had stayed there. Quite a walk from the Railway Station-use metro only one stop. Steep steps to a tiny lift to take your bags up. But no different from many European hotels.
Wifi was not working properly at the bedroom.
I liked everything because the kindness of the staff helping with our luggage compensates for the stairs.
You have to take your luggage to the first floor, then you can take a lift. The lift is too old, when it works, it scared me. Prague is hot in summer, but there is no air conditioner in the room.
