The room was great. Fantastic layout, simple, comfortable bed, great air con if necessary. Breakfast was nice, all the essentials there and the times were appropriate. Apart from that the hallways had interesting paintings and art to appreciate on the walls and the general layout of the hotel was impressive. Front reception area had some comfortable chairs, apparently! Right beside a beautiful park called Luzanky Park and there is a great American style steak restaurant just around the corner.
all reviews » Located in a good proximity to the city center (about 10 min. walking distance), but in a quiet location. We heard the birds songs all the night and it was fantastic to sleep in such an environment! Good and tasty breakfast. Besides the hotel has equipped the stairs (those on the parking area behind the hotel, very close to the main entrance) to allow people on wheelchairs enter the building. Really nice!. The room was always warm, comfortable and clean; the bed too was very comfortable and generous in size; the bathroom was spacious and with a bath. The hotel was only fifteen minutes or so walk from the centre of Brno; the staff were most friendly and helpful;and finally the hotel was in a very quiet street so minimal noise from traffic. We will definitely return to this hotel. I travel a lot and this was the best 3 star hotel I have ever stayed in. Best water pressure in shower head I have ever experienced anywhere, best bed, best pillow, fastest internet connection, best bathroom clenliness, and to top it off, best scrambled eggs - not that powder with milk fake stuff. Breakfast was a bit bland and basic, also a bit choatic one morning with tables not cleared and clean cups and bowls not available, although when we went to reception to complain they then came and sorted it but the girl on breakfast duty had been absent up to that point. Decor is really not my style, though I did not choose this hotel for this reason, rather for its price. Only one tv channel in English (other 7 or 8 were in Czech, one in German). WIFI only available in the common areas. The pillows were perhaps too flat. There is nothing I didn't like about this hotel. parking fee 10 euro per day, wifi could be available also in rooms. The impossibility of opening the window, I guess because of the AC. No wifi in the room, only wired internet, but still they said there's wifi in the lobby, so that should be ok. There is no wifi in the rooms, just a cable hook up for a laptop. The wifi in the lobby was free and fast, though. Really tacky art, lewd in some cases, in the breakfast room and first floor hallway. Just because she is naked doesn't make it art! There is construction next door, but they don't start with heavy noise until 9:30. This time Breakfast was "poor" and not as good as usual. On saturday the room was at 16.30h still not clean, so we decided to forbear from doing ! Hope this was an exceptional case! Mistakes happen!! Room make-up too slow (every day I left my room at 7:30 and it was made-up only at 15:00 or so) Television programs too poor (Hotel listed a couple of Italian channels but they were not available). Everything was excellent. the Internet poorly acted. Wi-fi is available only at the lobby. It would be great to have a kettle in the room. Breakfast staff need to smile or say good morning. Furniture in bathroom can be better maintained (or even reconstructed) and cleaned in more detailed way. Bathroom shower uncontrollable, so door rotted and would not close, a little simple maintenance like a shower head holder and proper shower screen would save a lot of money and improve hotel no end. Nothing to report. Beds were very very hard. No WiFi in room (only near lobby). Expensive parking place. Wifi only available in lobby.
