We were very happy with our stay at Apartments and Rooms Vista. We had a studio apartment with a small efficiency kitchen area with two electric burners and a bathroom off a hallway. We loved the wall textures of stone and brick and the very nice tiled floors in the hallway and tiled walls and floors in the bathroom. The shower worked well, and everything seemed relatively new---nice and clean. The flat screen tv had a wide range of satellite programming, much in English, and we liked the wood .

We had to check-in in an address different from our apartment (just a couple of blocks away), but as the first thing we do when we visit a new place is to go to the Tourist Information Center. Well in Zagreb we didn't have to, because Davor (the owner) is the better TIC that you can find in the city Besides all the good information, he even gave to us a 3D map of the city. 2. To get to the apartment you have to go through an old a. Excellent staff! Our train was late & Davor waited 'til we arrived at 9pm. He & was still exceptionally welcoming & helpful; as he was throughout our stay. Also, instructions to find the office were precise & clear. The location is away from the city centre, but walking distance to everything. Nice restaurant & minimart almost next door. Not too many stairs. Clean & well- equiped kitchen. The decor of the apartment was really nice and in a really good location for access to Zagreb city centre. The staff were really helpful and provided a shuttle from the airport for a small charge. They provided guides and maps of the local area and offered to provide us with any information should we require it. All in all a really good place to stay. Originally I booked this apartment, unfortunately they said the room was under maintenance and changed us to another apartment without informing us in advance. But the room was clean and tidy, just not the original one that we want. Still ok. Space was a good side, with all the conveniences within convenient walking distance of bus station and most sights. Staff at Evisita were very helpful in providing brochures and answering questions about Zagreb, and arranges transfer. Very friendly and hospitable staff. We were visiting on our honeymoon and couldn't have asked for a better room, especially for the price. Able to walk everywhere we wanted to go though parking was a little expensive. Because of the lack of soap/shampoo holder in the shower, we weren't able to take a really relaxing shower (even one of the ugly plastic ones would do). That's the reason we are rating 9.5 and not 10 to this apartment. This accommodation was such a pleasure, that I hesitate to mention the only minor flaw - insufficient lighting in the kitchen. Whilst the street-facing soundproof windows were highly effective, unfortunately the walls allowed a lot of sound to travel through meaning you could hear what was going on in the next apartment. Change our apartment booking without informing us in advance. Pleas double check with Vista agent before going there. As you can tell from photos decor is dark and a bit oppressive. Position of sinks is awkward. Bath may is plastic and sticks to feet. Provision of air dryer would be appreciated. Town center, so noticeable street noise when windows were open for air. There is no ironing machine available. pillows too thin- another one would be ideal. Poor wireless connection (very low speed/ no speed at all). noise from people passing in corridor can wake you up. Limited kitchen (no oven or grill), poor pillows (but cleaner provided an extra). The room is on the ground floor. No privacy from the streetwalkers, only of you shut the curtains. Would recommend newer bed sheets and towels. Preferably white in colour and without the smell of fabric softener. - Not cleaned daily - towels were smelly, not fresh - had to go to reception that was 10 min walk away first with my heavy pack - advertised a tea and coffee table, no amenities, just a table with two glasses, was expecting a kettle and coffee maker and mugs, had planned to use the kettle and was very annoyed one was not provided. Bunks. It's very basic. Nothing wrong with that, but it could be improved with just a kettle for tea making and a bottle of water in the fridge. No hair drier or soaps in the bathroom either. Also, we found our flat very dark. no having breakfast. It has a very sad & depressing look about it. Cigarette smell the hall. No closet.
