The location is fantastic: 5 minutes walk to Diocletian's Palace, but tucked around the back of a building and thus absolutely quiet. Central Split can be a raucous party scene, but Royal Suites is dead quiet, despite its proximity. The staff is also absolutely fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Royal Suites, which is ideally situated near the old town. The highlight was the outstanding attitude of the staff, who provided us with excellent advice and support. Nothing was too much trouble for Maria, Tony, Tina and Lana. The room was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed excellent breakfasts. We would certainly stay at the hotel again.

For starters, they actually took the initiative to email us before we got there, to see if we needed any transportation from the airport to Priuli. The apartment is beautiful and the family who runs it couldn't be nicer. (And, they left fresh, delicious cookies for us when we arrived. Yum!) It wasn't in the very center, but pretty close to everything we wanted to do. While it wasn't cheap, we really appreciated the nice accommodations and the helpful team so it was worth the price.

My stay at Palace Suites was truly fabulous. I wanted to be in Diocletian Palace so I knew not to expect a big chain style hotel.
