We loved the Park plaza Verudela. It is a large resort with a two hotels on the site, the other is the park plaza Histria (this is where the wellness and the breakfast is) it is very convenient for people who don't want to drive into town everyday as there is a supermarket, restaurants and some shops on site all in walking distance. The towel problem mentioned in other reviews has obviously been acknowledged as we had people come every day to check what we needed. The pool overlooks the Adria.
all reviews » We have been here second time, because we love the carisma of this Verudela beach, a really magical place. The staff very very kind and helpful. The local facilities are well designed and in good condition, opportunities for sports and activites are varios and wide ranged. Parking is free of charge. There are many shops, included grocery store. . I also recommend the Kuglana Bistro for eat out, thats very good. We had been in a studio apartement. This was well equipped (coffee maker, micro, dis. We liked everything. Our studio was comfortable, modern, clean and we had fresh towels delivered every day. The beach was wonderful as was the pool. The very small charge for a sun lounger by the pool was perfectly acceptable. It was quiet as near the end of the season so the rate was good and we decided to stay longer as we liked the place so much. The staff were friendly and approachable if you needed anything. The sofa bed was adequate for our comfort and only took 6 minutes to make each . had the one bedroom appartment, was a lovely surprise to find we had a sea view when we expected the park view. despite the negative comments we read about the sofa beds, we found it very comfortable. lots of storage space, well equipped, air con very efficient, nice little balcony. the resort is lovely, different beaches and pools you can use, we tried all of the restaurants, some with sea view. we were never asked to pay for the use of the sunbeds by the pools. supermarket had all the basic n. We had a studio with sea view what we asked when we booked, so we had a great view from our terrass. The whole resort was very clean and the staff was nice and helpful, speaking German and English. We really liked the sea, very clear water and the pool is amazing too. Actually we went out of season, so it was very quiet, not many people there yet, which was perfect to relax!!! We really enjoyed it and it's perfect for a little trip. We'll come back!. Loved the location and things to do in the area with the kids. Would definitely stay here again. Kids club was great and they had a kids disco each night while we were there! So much fun! We stayed in a studio and liked it. Pull out couch was surprisingly more comfortable than I thought it would be. The resort is very nice and well taken care of. Also really liked that they had a small grocery store on site. Beautiful location on the sea. We stayed in a studio apartment with our 9 month old. It was cozy, but very clean and well taken care of. The balcony was great for coffee and visiting while she slept. Several restaurants on campus as well as a grocery store. We took bikes and had a great time riding on the bike trail near the beach. Lots of things for a family to do and a great value for the money. great place to relax as a couple or even with children as there was so much for the kids to do as well. We were able to get away from the crowds at the beach and have our own little private swimming spot. The apartment was clean and for a studio very spacious and came with everything we needed. The staff was wonderful, very friendly! I loved it and didn't want to leave:). Really nice setting. The swimming pools and restaurants are very good. We stayed in a studio and it was big enough for two adults and a baby. The small kitchen has almost everything you need (bring a sponge and towels). The appartment was very clean and contrary to what was mentioned in the other comments, towels in the appartment are changed daily. Great Value for the money. The room we got was perfect; pull out bed, kitchenette and a stand in shower. The staff came and cleaned our room, took out the trash and provided us with clean towels everyday. The apartments were a minute walk to the water. We would definitely stay there again. We highly recommend this place. Everything, stay there, they have a super structure, great for kids, but we were in an apt facing the garden and it was super silent. The only thing I did not like was sleeping on the couch bed as they think it is the same than a bed - and dont provide a real bed for the studio !!. That place is just perfect. The cleaners were great! The staff at the reception is also very helpful, except for the managers who are a bit gruffly!. 1 - Location is excellent. 2 - A lot of sport options (tennis, squash, bike, swimming, etc) 3 - There are windsurfing spots only few km away (Premantura / Medulin) 4 - There is a boat rental point in Medulin - great place for cruising!. The site was very clean, newly renovated, the pools were very nice, it's a lovely site where you can stay for all you vacation, we had plenty to do with a family of teenager, many choice of restaurant, I would go back any time!. The place where it is placed is wonderful. The hotel is a little city with all the facilities. All was perfect. The fish in restaurant in front of the see was great! The diving club perfect! The rooms really needs a kettle but I'm not sure where it would go as the kitchen is small. Not a big deal really as there were pots, pans, microwave etc. The studio paratement bed (sofa) was rather unconfortable to sleep on, but it is acceptable. Only a small thing - I would have liked to have been supplied with some dish detergent and maybe some toilet cleaner. didnt find the appartment that clean when we arrived, the toilet had the sticker on it that you have to peel off to open the lid, and the toilet was not clean! dusty stairs and the floor upstairs. wasnt a huge problem though. the main thing was the noise at night from the entertainment [we never went to see it]., but it continued way past the 11pm curfew. The 'bed' was not so comfortable, but we only stayed 3 nights, so it was okay. The prices at the supermarket in the resort are much higher than in the city of Pula. No towel and sponge in the kitchen for washing. We didn't like that we had to pay to use the water slide. Nowhere on their website does it say this. 10 Kuna per 3 slides isn't much, but it adds up when there for 5 days with 2 kids! I thought the kids would be able to play on it as much as they liked. Pool water is the same as the sea water. Was a little chilly in September. Not really a negative, just a heads up that if the sea is cold the pool will not be a warmer alternative. everything was great, I can't complain about a thing!. The doors of the appartment are definitely not soundproof. That is the only negative thing about the place. The resort was slow for the winter season; restaurants and stores were closed in the area. The resort was a little far from the city. If you want to wonder around Pula, rent a car. I have booked a studio, but did not expect I had to sleep in a couch sofa... they have NO BED in this type of apt, only the couch sofa as the bed - the only think I did not like!. Extra charge for the beds and umbrelas at the swimming pool and at the see. nothing. 1. The studios have bed couches in stead of normal beds. The bed couches sleep terrible, they are very bumpy with a thin mattress. The rest of the studio is great and has everything. But for this price we expected a normal, decent bed. It was a great disappointment and we didn't sleep well. Who uses a couch when you already have a table with 4 chairs? 2. At the end of our stay the high season started and the disco's in the neighourhood were extremely loud till deep into the night. 1 - Dogs are allowed but cost 12 EUR per day and you learn about it when you arrive. 2 - A lot of facilities were closed because of low-season (I was there end of April / beginning of May). Some restaurant on site don't take credit card, only cash, but there is a cash-machine on site. The unit we had was just renovated, but somehow, they forgot to change the old windows. I was surprise that we had to pay 10 kuna to use the slide on site?. No house slippers. The room is not cleaned all days although yes the bathroom. Cold water in pools. Pools was open first 27th of April that's why water was cold. the rooms don't have any clothing hooks on the walls, which may sound a bit picky, but when you really have to put all your clothes on the beds or on the floor, it feels a bit strange :) price level of restaurants was unexpected high, not just in the hotel, also in the surrounding villages. but maybe we just arrived with the wrong expectations, we got what we paid for and the food was quite good usually. No complaints at all. lack of on site outdoor kids playground. No soundproof doors in rooms - you can hear all the external noises including staff speaking loud in the morings or lawn-mowers. We stayed during a no-peak season and already it was hard to find a free bed at the pool, apparently can be very crouded during peak season. Such a big and nice resort as Verudela deserves better traffic signalization, either comming from the center of Pula, or from the motorway. Chairs on the beach and the pool are charged. A little bit disappointing that you had to pay for the waterslide and a net in order to play table tennis. The biggest problem was the noise. Rooms are not soundproofed at all, even with closed windows/doors we heard all sounds from outside and from the other rooms. Together with inconsiderate guest who were having party in their room til the morning, it made our nights really annoying. It was extremely cold in our ground floor studio in May. It took two days to properly heat up with the noisy fan coil unit. I caught a cold because of that. Uncomfortable bed... The beds were a little hard but that is a personal preference !. Access roads to the resort in construction. Will hope next year won't be a problem :). Nothing really, we were there with a group of friend early May and the place was quiet. - too far from the city of Pula - few restaurants - had to pay sun beds - no lift in the apratments. It's quite noisy. high price for deckchairs. paying for a sunbed :(. Maybe wider food options but mainly couldn't fault the place. Bad curtains - woke up at 6 every morning because of the light entering the studio every morning. Pretty warm in the room - airco not really helping. The bed in the studio was actually a folding sofa. The only thing what bothered me on our stay is bed (its not classical one). / Nothing about resort but whole Pula was construction site, we spend a lot of time in city jam. - room soundproofing is not very good, you can hear everything through door and walls. Pool with salted water, have to pay for water slide, for pool chair, for breach chairs, for everything. Noise, late music in different areas of the complex. The fact that our apartment did not have a way to be completely dark at night (it was light as early as 6AM).
