We arrived at Apartments Mirta on bicycles after a long day of cycling from Korcula. Mirta was incredibly friendly, easy going and approachable, she also spent time telling us about the local attractions and life in Dubrovnik. Mirta is fluent in English, so for all English-speaking guests communication is not a barrier at Apartments Mirta! The house is easy to find and it has a public parking in close proximity. The pathway to the Fortress (for hill walking enthusiasts) also starts just across .
all reviews » We have just got back from 6 nights at Apartments Mirta and we cannot recommend it highly enough! Mirta is a fantastic host and makes you feel really at home. She really goes above and beyond to help you out and make sure you have a great holiday. The location of the Apartments is excellent, being only a 10 minute walk from the Old Town and 15 minutes from the beach (although it is downhill so does take longer on the way back!). The Apartment was very clean, very quiet and well equipped (really. The owner is really lovely and very helpful. When I had trouble finding the parking spaces she came out onto the road and waved me in. You've got to keep a very careful eye out for this as it's very easy to miss and then you end up driving for ages before you can turn round. However, having now been to Dubrovnik I now understand how valuable it is to have a parking pace when you go there, they are very hard to come by. The apartment is nice and it is easy to walk into town (it takes about 10-15. My husband and I stayed at Mirta for 4 nights in the month of June and were impressed from the moment we arrived. As soon as we stepped off the bus, the owner Sonia was waiting to greet us. She is very welcoming, friendly and more then happy to assist with any questions. The 1 bedroom apartment was clean, comfy and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get & the outdoor seating area has views of the sea. Getting to old town is. We stayed at apartments Mirta for two days. The room was clean, quiet and cool;everything that we could ask for during those two very hot July days. There was a kitchenette, but we didn't use it,since we were to eager to explore the city. We felt like guests of the family and it was a pity that we didn't have time to talk a bit more with them and get to know more about Croatia, beyond what an average tourist might see. This is a spacious, clean and well equipped apartment situated 400 steps above the old town of Dubrovnik. It is a lovely walk to the old town yet in the evenings is peaceful with lovely views over the moonlit Adriatic sea. Sonya is a kind and helpful host who clearly takes great pleasure in ensuring her guests are comfortable and enjoy Dubrovnik. We highly recommend staying here. She arranged the airport transfer for us in the early morning, which was a much better deal than taking a taxi. Location was quite nice, although you had to climb up a few stairs. Lovely spacious apartments with a lovely view of dubrovnik, the host couldn't have been more helpful, there's 400 steps too old town which isn't a problem going down would definitely stay here again. Staff at hotel Mirta very friendly and helpful. The view was beautiful no2 was roomy. Nothing really, the apartment might be a bit dark for some people as it doesn't get much light but it didn't bother me (it was dark by the time I got back anyway). The distance to Old Town. The walk down the stairs is fine but getting back is too much. Taxi is expensive for a 5min journey (70 kuna) so I recommend catching the bus. There are quite a few steps to get to the castle, going down will not be a problem. We used the bus on our way back to the room,because we had exhausted ourselves from all the sight seeing. Unfortunately, the bus makes a circular trip around the city so it takes a bit longer to get to the room, than walking. maybe is not proper for people who have medical problems because it is 20 min uphill. For healty people is no problem. Za starejše in tiste, ki imajo težave s hojo je morda previsoko na hribu. Za ostale ni problema :). The only things I could comment on are the shower in the bathtub, which didnt have a curtain so it was very difficult not to soak the floor every time you used it! Also the air conditioning unit might need looking at as it was extremely noisy, although it did it's job. The long, tiring, 15 minute walk up 100s of steps from the old town can't be helped, we often planned our day around not having to walk it too many times!. Our room had no window. A lot of steps back up too apartment but the bus stop is only a min walk from apartment so it's def manageable if ya didn't fancy the walk back up. The walk back up the hill was hard, but we did it and actually felt very good when we got our breath back :-). If you have a problem with stairs, you may want to find a place nearer to the coast. You will have to climb around 500 steps to return here from the old city!. All the steps down to the old city. Difficult to find. stairs!:) but good fitness after all the good food we ate while there. Extra small & leaking bathroom small bed for couple no micro no kettle no cleanliness for rubbish not collected for 3days tv dinosaur age.
