This is either completely new or completely recently refurbished because it was impeccable. A classic hotel room with all the usual bits including mini-bar, soaps, nice patio doors, Grohe fittings in the bathroom and a nice balcony with more of a sea view than we expected. We got a bargain early season deal with breakfast (which was really quite good by Croatian standards with omelette available). The staff were great - very accommodating. The suite was lovely with hardwood floors, a refrigerator, and very large terrace overlooking the village and the sea. We had a separate terrace looking back to the mountains. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. I loved this property. I loved this village. It was friendly, safe, and full of families and couple enjoying the sun, the shops, and the great selection of restaurants. This place is worth the trip. Great, small friendly hotel with free parking,spotlessly clean in rooms and all public areas made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. Nice touch, when we tried to purchase a packet of crisps when having a beer they were unsure what we wanted having explained it was their Chippy Chips for the rest of our stay complementary chips arrived with our drinks. A bit of a walk uphill from town which could be a problem for some but also meant area was very quiet at night. The ONLY downside of this hotel for me is that it sits a few hundred meters uphill from the beach. At the end of a long day of laying on the beach, the climb up the hill was difficult - for many people. The best thing about the climb up the hill was the lovely room and the cheerful staff welcoming us back each day. I think this walk would be difficult for older people, disabled people or people with health conditions. Breakfast was a little dull and repetitive. No pasties and very little in the way of hot/cooked options. A couple of miscommunication issues with the staff booking us a restaurant one evening. The staff are also, perhaps, a little too laid back/slow with service but found this throughout Croatia. Just missed hotel restaurant, but they know why. Many restaurants are around, not far away. Double bed would be better for couples but it was okay with two beds putting together too. Nothing. It is a bit sterile for me, lacks some atmosphere in my opinion. It was windy all 3 days we were here and for that reason they take all the furniture from the terrace which is in front of the hotel. It doesn't look inviting. For that reason they also encourage you to have breakfast inside in the breakfast room, which is quite small. The main drawback is the situation. It is a very steep and long climb from the center / beach of Baska Voda. A little bit far from sea, but this can be an advantage for those who want a little excercise. No restaurant in hotel. Only breakfast. The way up from the beach.....
