The interior design - it was a tribute to Colombian cultural values. The rooms are beautifully designed yet practical and comfortable. Restaurants, people at the reception, bellboy, world class. Rooms are very spacious, staff speak English with ease, breakfasts are fantastic and the location is brilliant near lots of restaurants and supermarkets. Also love the sauna and stream room.
all reviews » Quickly becoming my favourite hotel in Medellin. Front desk staff and waiting staff have excellent English and are very helpful. Rooms are large and spacious. The roof top sauna is great. The view was fantastic. Our room was a corner room and had floor to ceiling glass. The room was smaller than others, but the view made it a very good trade-off. Breakfast was varied good. Everything! This hotel is very well located, near to Parque Lleras where you can find great bars and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and willing to help you at all times. Amazing decor. Each floor features art and other designs from each of the regions of Colombia. The breakfast buffet had a nice variation of food and options for everyone. I have stayed at this hotel a couple times, and, I would stay in again, it is a great value hotel for your money next to all the fun! The brochure says 24h full service, and this wasn't entirely true. There are restrictions after 10 pm. Besides, the person in charge of taking the order was not very kind, like he did not want to provide the service. He discouraged me and I decided not to order. The fitness centre is pretty basic in terms of equipment. If there is a complaint it is that the hotel rooms could have better sound proofing. To be honest.. nothing.. The things they provide in the rooms are too little. They don.t offer robes, nor any slippers, and no ironing equipment. Noise from the hall and other rooms can be heard. Just as a suggestion, to have more touristic information about the city and other places around Medellin. I was on the first floor, mountain side and it on Thursday and Friday I could hear the noise from the club and bar below. Previously I have stayed on higher floors city side and had no issues. towels were not very good for 5 star. I didn't know that we'd be paying for health insurance per person per night. One of us got sick during the stay but until we checked out we weren't even aware we were covered for a doctor visit in the event someone was ill. We would have taken advantage of it. dirty windows hampered what would have been an incredible view, and an ant problem in the room. Noise from neighbors. Gym was a little light on. the personal should speak english. There is no chance to open the windows. The pool they advertised was just a hot tub and it was broken. no swimming pool. Dated rooms Dirty windows Traffic nearby. Construction continuing in the lobby area. Food is not their strenght. No ability to make coffee in the room. nada. But smell in the room . small room, no receipt upon checkout,. they should have twin bed rooms. Changes of Price: it is sometimes ok and sometines expensive. Noice from roof from a party on Saturday night. no. food, very poor windows do not open. Soundproofing of the room. Room service was cold and took ages to arrive. too much noise in this hotel . i spoke with the management about that hope it will changed. very noise rooms due to poor isolation. on website they mention noise free rooms which is 100% not true!. Breakfast was very limited choice and low quality, only one towel in the room had to ask for more for my girlfriend and the towels were not soft, it´s rated as 5 stars but in my opinión it´s 4 stars max, when paying full Price which is around 150 usd approx def not worth it. Charging almost 8 usd for a Gatorade is way beyond fair. They should let you have visits and not charge 100 usd per visit.
