It was truly an amazing experience. This was our third time to China and we have stayed at many hotels, this by far was the most wonderful. They met us with a glass of cool lemon tea which is a welcome blessing in July in southern China. We met some great people, went to the cooking class just up the road, had some great food, had a personal tea making session. Next trip to China, we want to stay longer at the Tea Cozy. all reviews » This is a beautiful boutique hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with 2 air conditioning systems. The staff are very friendly and helpful with good English language skills. The food is more geared to those from the west with some traditional Chinese cuisine. Both, however, are excellent. The setting is rural overlooking mountains and farming land. The hotel will rent you bicycles and it is safe to ride around the country roads: cars always sound their horns on approaching and will a. We had a wonderful stay at the Tea Cozy. Because of our great experience, we are hoping to go back when it is a little warmer. The staff was amazing and incredibly accommodating. They scheduled all of our drivers for us and gave us wonderful suggestions of things to do.I would recommend the Tea Cozy to everyone. We traveled as a family of five and the room was great but it would also be a wonderful place for a couple. The food was excellent as well and very reasonably priced.We ate at the Tea C. My daughter and I have just spent 2 nights at the Tea Cozy and are sorry we couldn't spend more time there. The service is really good, the food tasty and the rooms impeccable. The owners put a lot of care into their little hotel. They are ever so helpful and always available but yet very discreet. We went on a bicycle tour on the backroads and saw beautiful scenery even though it's winter. Would've loved to go with Richard or Curry, the owners, on one of their tours. They are experts in the ar. Surely a cozy place Curry and Richard have established, nestled into the villages just minutes outside Yangshou. I found them committed to providing and understanding Western standards of service, while offering a local authentic environment and experience. Food and service was great. I wish there would be more Cozy Teas in the world. . Great Food and very friendly staff. Quietly located just outside Yangshuo which can be reached by free shuttle or a 30 rmb taxi ride. The staff all speak good English. The Hotel arranges trips such as kayaking on the Li River, visits to local markets, sightseeing the views are incredible. On the KAYAK trip we went to a quiet area of river its very relaxing no other boats in sight only the magnificent views. All the family enjoyed hiring bikes and exploring. Rooms are clean and spacious with goo. A beautiful retreat away from the busy Yangzhou centre. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The room was the best we stayed in during our trip to china, clean, comfortable and homely. The hotel is a short 10min car trip to the centre and nearby and close to activities like bamboo rafting and cycling (which the hotel is happy to organise for you although we used a private guide). Loved everything about the stay. This hotel was central to everything we wanted to do. The only think I disliked was the lack of shops close by to pick up bits and pieces, but it is only 20 minutes bicycle ride to a major town or a couple of minutes in a taxi. We liked everything. Rooms could use more places (table ?) to put down your luggage. Avoid room directly over the entrance: could be little noisy and there is no view (ask for top floor rooms - 5th floor, a long walk up). The staff could have been more forthcoming with the costs of the various activities they coordinated (however, I thought all of the costs were reasonable once they were presented). That I only stayed one night. Did not like the city of Yangshuo itself--way too crowded and touristy, cheesy shopping streets. Fortunately this hotel is 10 to 15 minutes outside of the city, and is a world apart in the stunning countryside and a small village. The wifi rarely worked in our 3rd floor room. The "hot" water in the shower was lukewarm at best on 2 different nights. When we had to go out early one morning, no proper plan was made for an early breakfast. Breakfast could be larger. My only disappointment was that the hotel was right on the road. Some new buildings around, the view must have been better. There were no negatives. Nothing. Wifi was a little poor. Their rental bikes were not in the best shape. Suggested walking a few minutes up the road for better bikes. Nothing at all. Being charged a replacement fee for a dirty towel. There was absolute nothing to complain about. to small garden,. The steps up to the 5th floor!, but that dissapeared when you saw the view!!.
