Buffet (wonderful both for dinner and breakfast), smoking tables, kind staff, clean room. internet in room, very clean. the hotel is excellent. Great value for money, fabulously easy-to-find location just by very central tube station, impressive reception and good concierge service, clean rooms, great breakfast. Much better value than the Novotel Peace in my opinion.
all reviews » Very great location, one of the best in Beijing you can get! Taxi was always available in front of the main door when needed!. Very good location in city centre, high like 5* standards with even aturn down, very hospitable staff, very good concierge - which is veryimportant in China ! - excellent buffets at reasonable prices(breakfast, lunch and dinner) nice and cosy bar, safe feeling in hoteland surroundings - I would definitely return. Only 10 minute walk from Tianaman Square and the Forbidden City. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of food both western and chinese. Rooms were clean and comfortable. room comfort; excellent food in the hotel restaurant. Rooms were good, well equipped, clean and staff very friendly. The central location and closeness to major tourist sights was good as well. Good sauna and massage facilities with very friendly staff. Value for money, well located and clean. The food for the breakfast was not good.Beds alittle hard, however found this common all over China. Lack of fresh air (interior room), too warm in room and not funcioningcool air system, next time I will ask for an exterior one - I have had awonderful personal reaction after filling in the Novotel questionaire. Have the name of the hotel in chinese characters to show taxi drivers as many do not read english script. The noise in the morning from traffic and tooting car drivers was pretty annoying. Beds were quit hard and no drawers to put away clothes.to improve service from hotel entrance door to bedroom. The internet conection fee is too high and there is no wireless servicein the room. Not anough TV-channels ( no russian , german language ). Breakfast is not included into the base rate -- and costs $12. Must also pay for internet. Coffee at the coffee_shop costs $6.00.Bed is too hard , everything else good. The bed was incredibly hard, I had to use 4 additional blankets to make it somehow acceptable. The English skills of the staff are really limited, but this is a general problem in China, so bring someone who can speak Chinese or better - learn it yourself.The internet connection in the room has been terrible throughout my whole stay, this really needs to be improved as being disconnected non-stop is terrible. Also the breakfast not great,evwery morning greasy food smell that sticks to yuor clothes and lots of itmes not replaced when ran out. Also my colleague got food poisoning after eating the pasta alfredo in the bar, so not good.
