We had booked a 2-bedroom family suite, which was apparently not available when we arrived--so for the same price were upgraded to a junior suite (living room, br, 1-1/2 baths) and adjacent deluxe room...very elegant and even more luxurious than we'd expected. Great location, and ended up having dinner all 3 nights at the buffet (l Cafe), which had everything one could want. Definitely on the pricey side, but a wonderful way to end our China trip!.

Staff very attentive (particularly Raoul) in catering to needs and providing helpful suggestions for trips. Close to wangfujing street with lots of shopping and less than 5 mins walk to metro. As we were checking out, the girl at the reception spoke very little English. We almost got delayed because she couldn't figure out what type of bottled water we had consumed in the room. Food could have been hotter but restaurant staff excellent. Nothing. Poor breakfast. Difficulty understanding English because of language barrier but staff was accommodating. I was very annoyed that at breakfast they wanted to charge extra for a machine made instant cappuccino. After paying $300 minimum per night I thought it was a bit rude. The smog but that is not your fault. Interior balconies make it look a bit like a prison, (but that is just being picky). Everything was good!. Breakfast is fair, though there are varieties of food. The staff. Cheap decor items. The price of spa treatment extremely high!. Checkin front desk staff unfriendly. Check in process slow and unsatisfactory. Concierge unhelpful. No internet in rooms. Freezing rooms without air conditioning control individually.
