Staff is very kind - one of our young guests (11-years boy) forgot his passport in hotel and we were very happy when we called hotel 6 hours later and were informed that his passport was found and now we can get it - and so we did immediately, our flight was not cancelled. We are very thankful to hotel staff fot this kindness and help !!!. Good service at reception. As we requested non smoking room, we got upgraded to an executive level room. Good size of big bedroom and living room. Also the swimming pool is fantastic with a big pool. Will definitely come back next time.
all reviews » I have been staying at this Hotel every year since 2002 on business trips It is close to Tiananmen Square -Wangfujing Road Forbidden City Qianmen Road and no problems to get a bus or a taxi to travel around. We loved the location. The bus stop is right in front of the Hotel and the there are 2 Metro stations within walking distance. The Airport Shuttle also leave from the side of the Hotel. Good location - near to metro station. Exec floor made check in and out easy. Bathroom with lovely bath and shower. Bus to the airport leaves from front of hotel. We stayed only one night, but it seems like a nice place. Location, attentive service, excellent facilities, comfortable room. good location good clean room nice restaurant on 28th floor. Nothing. 1)Bed-sheets and trash in room 8029 room service didn't change every day. As guests say, sheets towels and etc were changed only twice during their 7-days stay in hotel. 2) Hotel needs renowation - it's fit to 5 star hotel only to 20-th century standards, not 21-st century. Carpets on floors in rooms - wooden panels and doors - sepecially shower equipment needs urgent renovation. Isn't luxurious but is good value for the price of this hotel. Prices within the hotel are high; charges for bottled water in particular are some 15 times those in the supermarket opposite. Whilst it's understandable that there would be some markup, this is a bit extreme!. the personal speak poor english. Very hard to communicate with staff as we had to explain special arangements for bedding! After a few attempts they got this right !. dinner buffet. Food not very hot or fresh. nothing. Rooms are a bit small and the Air conditioning system, far too noisy and cold. Staff very unfriendly, no a la card breakfast.. On;y 160 rmb food, asked for non-smoking, put us in a smoking floor, smoke coming out through the door of adjacent room.. Very bad... seat for waiting in interance of hotel - some stafe in recpsition. Sluggish running restaurants. we didn't like that in the process of payment it appeared that we didn't pay by booking & it was a problem to pay. I booked the room on letsbookhotel.com ,When reached hotel my booking wasn't there. staff whilst polite seem to delegate tasks to others rather than deal directly with query/request etc tried to get drinks in 2nd floor bar - wanted a hot chocolate for child and told not available and I wanted a glass of wine - again not available - however in the starlight bar on 28th floor both were available! in a '5' star hotel why can the staff not talk to each other and arrange for the guest to have what they want without them having to relocate to a different area????. After spending six days there using two rooms, staff were extremely unhelpful getting a taxi to the airport. We had tried a number of times to book one and told that it was fine, only to be told at the time of leaving there were none because it was raining. Finally after a fuss the manager got us one in the nick of time to get our domestic flight, even though we had left 3 hours to get it against their advice of just two hours. English speaking staff is not enough. Information for Muslim/halal food cannot be found. They should find information on halal food near their hotel for easier reference. I did´nt get the room we ask´d for, expensive deposistion, 3100 rmb for 4 nights, almost as the same cost as the room. My booking was stated that I have the right to take 01 breakfast for free ! and the hotel staff refuse to accept that arguing that they do not receive this information from letsbookhotel.com. I try to call the local phone (from letsbookhotel.com) and it does not work. very old hotel, and very bad smelling, and seems all staff not trained. Dated. Water is not potable and they charge an enormous fee for bottled water. I would not book this hotel sgain. This hotel was rated as 5 star.It certainly was not. The rooms smelt of smoke even though it was meant to be on a non smoking floor. Room service food also of poor quality. The telephone and door bell in our room didn't work.When asking for ice for our drinks,it arrived in a plastic bag and was thrown onto the floor by staff .We cancelled the following three nights and moved on to a different hotel.
