The first thing I want to wrtite here...THE Best recepcionists in the world work here!!! :) I mean it. I work as receptionist also (in 4-star hotel btw), and I must say that I really impressed by level of their hospitality and work quality. We felt really welcome here during our stay. They answered all our questions and helped us all the time. Even when we through stupidity left out laptop at the frontdesk, these two lovely girls (I wish I knew their names) came to the airport and returned it t.
all reviews » What did i like the most was the staff of the hostel. They were so nice with us helping and greeting all the times with a big wide smile on the face. They are really great! Rooms are big, clean and spacious. The place is just next to the metro station so there is no problem to get anywhere you want. But it is really hard to find by the first time - we did the call to reception and they explained to the taxi driver how to get there. So easy :-) Hot water, electric kettle, bed linen, towels - ev. We stayed there for a trip about 3 nights to visit Beijing. We were happy about the hostel, as the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and comfortable, the AC warmed our room to good temperature as we had very cold temperatures outside. We tried once the restaurant and ordered a pizza which was also quite nice. The room was cleaned every 2. day i think and they also changed the towels. We can recommend this hostel, and say thanks to the staff and the management. The hostel lies right next to a subway station. It is very easy to get around. The staff was absolutely lovely. Very helpful and attentive. They help in organizing your day trips (you can book tours to the great wall, Beijing Opera etc. directly at the hostel) and provide directions and recommendations to restaurants, bars or tourist sites. On some days, the hostel organizes social activities in the bar. The rooms are very basic, but clean. You get a good value for your money. We loved this hostel! If you go to Beijing stay here, the staff are amazing so chatty, friendly & funny! There is information all over the hostel on what do in & around Beijing & the tours offered are very good value, £24 for a trip to the Great Wall with breakfast & a very nice lunch, the food & atmosphere here is brilliant we has such a good time also the restaurant across the road is ace & so is the subway location! 20p to go anywhere. location close to subway. delicious breakfasts - varied from english, french, american, chinese breakfast etc. with fresh orange juice / cappuccino etc. Trips to the Great Wall, chinese opera, acrobatics etc are on offer, for reasonable prices tough the groups are big - around 40 people being collected from all the 4 "Dragon" Hostels. excellent hostel, excellent staff, good toilets (in double rooms)!. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and everybody speaks english quite well. The hostel is 2 minutes from the metro station and it's located in a charming, animated neighbourhood near Dongsi shi tiao, where you'll find a lot of shops and bars (also in western style) without beeing too touristic. There is a nice bar (with a cute bar manager) inside the hostel. Good atmosphere, liked it very much!. The location is great. The staff is very nice and helpful with excellent English! Lee's Cafe has reasonable prices and great food! The wifi worked well even on the 3rd floor. The best Chinese hostel experience ever! They have free toiletries in the bathroom. I would definitely recommend other restaurants in the neighborhood. busy restaurants street is only 1 metro stop away - i.e. walking distance. try to find Hua's restaurant on that street, the best food in the world!. The breakfast in the bar (I took the "swiss" one) was rather disappointing: "Cheese" means: one tiny slice of cheese - and the coffee costs extra... The cleanness in the rooms is ok., but some things (towel, linen) were in quite a poor state - a little bit perforated ;-). We booked a Shaolin Kunfu Show with the hostel and they took us there 1,5 hours before the show started. The driver could not really explain how to get back to the hostel cause only one-way transportation was included. Nothing in particular. I think the bar could have more chinese traditional dishes and the food could be less expensive. Bar was a bit loud, especially during the weekend. Since we were in a room to reception we could hear the comings and goings, but it wasn't too bad. Too bad the computers weren't for free (but at least they were fairly cheap). The wifi signal wasn't so good in the room, but outside the room it was pretty good. The music playlist in the bar was very bad,. Shower was a bit uncomfortable because the water doesn't drain well, but other than that there aren't a lot of bad things to say about this hostel. The street of the hotel is not very nice, but the rest is perfect. Dont spend extra money on expensive hotels and go there. Bathroom is little bit old, but for 2 star's hotel is good. - The shower was only separated from the rest of the bathroom by a curtain so when taking shower one was flooding the whole floor. Nothing special. But it is true that the street of the hostel is not really nice - but don't worry about it at all!. The location is not that awesome but still ok. the toilets so so. no bike rentals but their sister hostel has which is within a k.m I guess. restaurant a little expensive, and also the tours, bad smell in the bathroom sometimes. No complaints. Sometimes the hot water was a bit sporadic. Toilet roll could be better quality. The mattress was not comfortable. Everything was great!. Room service forgot to change towels for 3 days in a row. The wireless signal in my room was so weak that I couldn't even check my email. bed was a bit hard, but not a big problem. My friend lost his favorite Zara shirt there. really a pity. But this can be avoided if you're careful. Nothing. Exact road location (situated down a darkly lit alley) Some staff that appeared busy were rather curt. Sadly missed them all , counting on back as soon as being in china ... Nothing. There isn't really a place to sit back and relax. Good cleaning for hostel, but not for hotel. Littlebit cold was in number in september,lit expensive price at bar. The bed was a bit hard, and the fact that the shower floods the bathroom floor makes it rather slippery. Beds were very hard, but that could be just matter of personal preferences and what's usual in a country. Nothing to complain about. very old bathroom. The food portions were rather small for the prices charged. Nothing. Large hostel means lots of people around, noisy at times. Insulation lacking, room was cold unless heater on all night.
