Sometimes when traveling one reaches a point in which you just want a new, clean comfortable bland room. No quirks, no malfunctioning wifi, no unfortunate surprises. This is the place. Everything clean and easy. Everything worked well. Excellent location. And the big surprise was getting a view room directly over the port. I could watch them unload the container ships. Great fun.
The view to the harbour was great. The room was large enough. Safety seems good. Clean room. Breakfast was great with large enough hours of service. Very well positioned in the heart of the city and its port.all reviews »
Location was excellent, for Valparaiso, as well as getting into new town by metro. With Ibis you are guaranteed same level so you know what to expect.

Price was pretty good. No ocean view for us.
Wasnt a problem but be aware the hotel sits over railroad tracks so you could hear some rumbling beneath you in the middle of the night.
No ventilation in the bathroom. They prepare the bed the german way: without a superior bed sheet, which surprised us since it´s a French chain of hotel (saving!). The personnel did not smile often.
45 minutes standing in line for check in at 10:30pm. Hotel was reported full but only one person working front desk!
Could use a trash can in bedroom too.
Aircon didn't work well, shower didn't drain well.
There was a leak in my bathroom, so much of the water from the shower
would flow in the bathroom.
In the morning I asked the front-end desk for a taxi, and the guy clearly called a friend, who took 10+ minutes to come (instead of calling a nearby taxi point). At least the driver was a nice person :).
Poor English standard among reception desk staff and disorganized way of guest line-up.
Restaurant. Could it offer more food?.
They didn't clean my room. Long waits when asking some food
after 12:00 am.
