Every thing. Easy 5 minutes to train or a nice 1/2hr walk to Downtown. Beautiful walk along the sea wall to Granville Island and it's markets. Shopping and eateries to suit all budgets close at hand. The staff were superb. From the time we arrived until we checked out they could not have been more courteous or helpful and friendly. House keeping was excellent. all reviews » The Holiday Inn Vancouver-Centre Broadway offers a clean, functional hotel for travelers to Vancouver who are seeking a reasonably priced, in-town location and who do not need to stay in the more fashionable and expensive West End of Vancouver. The hotel has a pleasant bar and a serviceable eatery and is adjacent to multiple restaurants (particularly offering various Asian cuisines). The staff is very friendly. Breakfast was good although my partner said that the sausages were the worst he has ever tasted, but the selection of fruits,cereal and bread was good. Free internet, good overnight price, pleasant staff, good food at meeting. Newspaper delivered to door, quietly. Quick checkout. Easy to book online. Good service, staff are helpful n polite. Excellent location with restaurants n shopping mall near by. Rooms were very clean and well presented. Staff on eth desk were efficient and polite. Room was quiet. Couldn't close the curtains in my room, so concerned about privacy and being woken early by light. Restaurant loud with private function and kitchen closed early, with no room service, so went without dinner, as I didn't wish to wander down Broadway at night looking for a restaurant nearby. Given a room across from the elevators, so noisier than ideal; not asked by desk clerk re my preference in this regard. I didn't like the check in process. When booking online was told that I would be charged for half the stay up front but upon arrival found myself charged an additional $250+ for a damage deposit. Also my credit card and debit were both declined as payment options and was forced to seek an ATM and required to pay for the whole stay up front before being allowed to check in. Needless to say that as I was traveling with a first time visitor to Canada it did not make a good first impression. It was noisy. Tried to have a nap but the traffic noises kept me awake. The "music". I stayed for 3 days and the same Andre Rieu tape played over and over 24 hrs. Drove me nuts and I can only wonder what the impact on employees would be. They charged me of declined international phone calls. Poor TV in room- very fuzzy picture plastic glasses instead of glass. Parking add-on. Air conditioning units too old and too noisy at night. There is no hotel parking and the publlic parking is too expensive. The hotel should try to arrange a lower rate for its guests in this public parking. Coffee maker was sub par. Parking was very expensive. There should be a hot tub and sauna. The pool is great. Bit pricey for Breakfast. Room near elevator , noisy. n/a. WiFi was a little more difficult to work with than others encountered on our 10 day trip. Broadway isn't very convenient for downtown or anythig else. Mattresses sue could use an upgrade. Pricey for the budget conscious traveler. Shower head too low. Breakfast Expensive. Bad bed and terrible pillows Dirty bathroom sink Dingy room.
