The staff at Front desk. When I checked in , there was a staff name Jeromie. He was very welcoming and very helpful in checking in his system for a Room with good view. He had all chance for rejecting our request, but he didn't. Secondly during our stay , our room service was great where we felt every day we were given a new room (except our mess and baggages) . We also left a personal note of thanks to the room service team Donna and her team with the fornt office. Then the Restaurent Rumpels.
all reviews » I liked the hotel room, it was clean and very quiet. The staff were very friendly. I also loved the location its in walking distance to all main pubs and stores downtown. So I liked the hotel for the location. Great location! Convenient to all St. John's tourist spots. Friendly staff, they were both helpful and eager to please. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Quality Hotel St. John's. It was a comfortable room that had all the qualities that make my business travel easier. Windows that open for fresh air, comfortable mattress and pillows, and very clean. The Quality Hotel in St John's was perfect for our needs. Close to the walk up Signal Hill, 15 min walk to George St and great views of the harbour. Enjoyed our stay here. Great hotel for closeness to the downtown area. Good restaurant right in facility. We had corner room with great view of harbour. Wifi included free which is a bonus. Hotels are expensive in St. John's, at least this one is downtown with a great restaurant with harbour view. Underground parking is a plus also. Great servise reasonable price enjoyed breakfast buffet Staff very helpful good location for downtown and Signal hill trail system. There is less supervisory on that, where I saw some occupants park incorrectly that allows them to take 2 car parking spots with one car. Appreciate if they could mark car parks and supervise to give the conveniece for other occupants. I didn't like that they didn't include breakfast even a coupon voucher for the price we paid for the hotel. Breakfast should be included for the price we paid, so for this reason alone we didn't get as much value for our stay. I also didn't like at bottom of hill, there isn't a proper cross walk, pathway or street light when you are walking from water street back to hotel. I would suggest offering fresh coffee for early risers with real milk and cream. Rooms are a bit dated. We couldn't get into the restuarant for dinner on our last night a reservation was required. We had to depart hotel around 6 AM so it would have been nice if there was a continental breakfeast as restaurant did not open unti 7 0r 7:30. Other than that it was a perfect stay. Made coffee in the room but water quality from faucets was poor. Used bottle water after that. There were no refrigerators in the rooms. - no fridge in room - air conditioner leaking water. Breakfast service was slow . No criticisms. The staff at the front desk were stern and un helpful. I had to go to the ladies cleaning for help and information. There should be a pool/hot tub. There are many attractions around the hotel, but it would be cool if there were more inside!. There were no dislikes. I found the staff at the desk to be relatively unfriendly. Bed could be bigger. Smell of cigarette smocking as you come in the Hotel as well as the Hotel lobby & the narrow decent to the underground parking. It would be helpful if you added lighting in the curbs so we can see better, then please get rid of the extended side walks at the beginning of each turn which are useless and add to the tight turn. We came close to damaging our rental car .... so .... not appreciated you know about the problem, why are you not doing something about it. No pool. N/A. No fridge or microwave in the room. they messed up my booking. Thought that it was a bit expensive to what they provided. No breakfast, not pool. No pool or spa. It was a little pricey for what it was. A fridge in the room would have been handy. No Fridge in room. Door "peep" was way too high!. False fire alarms @ 1 am!. It was too expensive. The Wifi was barely above non existent. It kept cutting out. Totally useless. 1) It should be useful to provide the guests with a map of bus lines in the City (for ex. to get some Shopping Center etc.). parking. Nothing!. They charged me an additional $2.00 for a reason I am not aware of. I paid for my bill with my visa, when I checked my visa, the additional charge was there separately. my room did not have a view. make sure you get a river or a city view. cost. Breakfast started too late....should be open at 6 a.m. There was a 2 hour wait for the hotel restaurant we couldn't wait so we had to go somewhere else. Parking spots were very tight. Would have been great to have a fridge in the room. Hall carpeting needs to be upgraded..very worn, dirty and gathered in spots...tripping hazard. Wall switch located outside the bathroom is not convenient when you need the facilities during the night. Turning the light on lights up the room because the door is open. First room dingy and not real clean, staff did change our room when asked for a better room, but attitude unapolagetic and a little cold about it. Rowdy crowd kept us awake one night partying. Priced competitive but not best value.
