situation in the city, access to public transport, good restaurant in the hotel. Well placed. The rooms were large and very comfertable. They were very quiet. You didnot hear any noise from other rooms or from the corridors. Staff was great. Supplied luggage room for late check out. Comfortable room with excellent pillows. Good restaurant.We parked the car when we arrived and we did not touch it until we left.You can walk everywhere in fifteen minutes.

However......... Room overfoutnain in Restaurant -heard it all night. Not a great or convenient location. being a 4-star hotel, there is no refrigerator in the bedroom.The pool and jacuzzi were too humid - pool too cold - jacuzzi too crowded with kids. Pool/Spa.It's not really in the "City Centre", was further away than I wanted from Old City. Distance to old Quebec City. Service at breakfast was very slow. The room had a funny smell and during the night there was a constant noise of an engine running. On the day of departure there was only one elevator available although big groups of children needed to go down as well and the stairs were locked (fire hazard!).Our room smelled cigarettes. The pool and gym were 3 times smaller than on the picture. Jacuzzi had too much chlore in-it was burning our eyes.The supplies of coffee and tea wasn't enough.It costs too much for the service and stay that we had. Next time we will go to Hilton :) We don't thing it will cost much more. But we are sure that the expirience will be much much better. One of the receptionists yelled at us from across their pool room, I found it very unprofessional. They could have simply came up to us in a calm manner instead.Security and quietness were lacking. Layout of room(beds facing each other), noise level, the carpet looked stained, didn't feel like a 4 star.Some of the hotel staff needed to be more open to international travellers and their away from home needs. Quebec is certainly a nice city but the most insular city I have visited in my travels; the restraurant is struggling to serve quality cuisine which is not good considering Quebec city offers the traveller and visitor an excellent choice and quality of food. We initially asked for a non-smoking room, our first room we were given had a very very strong smell of stale cigarette smoke. We asked to be changed and we were.As a non-smoking hotel they should provide cigarette disposal units outside and indicate that guests must smoke a distance from the entrance; the lobbly almost always smelled of smoke and outside was constantly littered with butts. The fact that there was only 1 elevator operating during our stay (tookforever!), the price paid for the room wasn't worth it.the wait for the elevator and size; room was 'closed in' didn't smell good. Looked drab. Expensive for what you got. Roomservice/housekeeping staff screwed up requests which was annoying. This is a very tired hotel in need of work. Equally, it is true that this hotel is a 15 min walk to the old city, however that walk is not one I would want to do at night. It is through a very rough, seedy area.Increase services or put the prices really down. There ar a lot of good small hotel in Quebec City. letsbookhotel.com should include them in this list. Uncomfortable beds, felt 'moist' and closed in (not an appealing odour)and the fact that only 1 elevator was running.Not good service. Only 1 elevator working in the hotel. the smell in this hotel is very bad. The hotel is not clean. The price is unreasonable high. It was a not pleasant place to stay.
