Very good location for this area with excellent proximity to whale-watching excursions and the Cabot Trail. Beautiful B&B facility with modern, pleasant, comfortable, and clean common area. Although this was a converted family home, the individual suites were very tastefully designed, pleasant, and functional. Very accommodating proprietor and friendly staff. Pool and hot tub (although not used due to weather).
all reviews » Very modern, comfortable and convenient. Check-in was sort of a self- serve experience, different, but ok. Our room was the French Suite, a 2 br suite which was immaculate and comfortable. Facility was modern and large, with a great pool and hot tub, large deck and outdoor places to hang out and sit. Breakfast was delicious. Cost was reasonable and added value for a family of 4. Highly recommend. The room was very nice. It was clean, well decorated. The bed is comfortable. The location is great, close to the harbour and walking trails as well as restaurants. The two person tub was great albeit a little small for someone my height. Anna was very pleasant and I enjoyed the buffet style breakfast she prepared. Anna the host has thought of all the comforts and little extras that you may need. This place is separate from the owners own living accommodations. Very nice set-up and lots of extras stocked in the kitchen to make your stay more comfortable. Would definately recommend The Highland Breeze. Anna, the owner, prepared an awesome breakfast the next morning at her restaurant. I recommend the Acadian potato pancakes & sausage!!! The B & B and rooms were very clean. The jacuzzi was excactly what I needed after hiking all day. Extremely clean and beautiful. We stayed in two suites and both were beautiful. Breakfast provided by Ann was excellent and wholesome. We thoroughly enjoyed the night there. We had an apartment with lots of room. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The food was wonderful. nice snooker room, clean and tidy room, breakfast included, excellent place to stop on the cabot trail. Breakfast was great. Location was great. We booked the particular room because it had a jacuzzi. Being able to choose breakfast from a menu. Comfortable room. Our suite was rather small and a tight fit for even two. Other suites were somewhat larger, however. Because of its proximity to one of the larger suites on the main floor, there seemed to be a tendency for those occupants to "take over" the common area. It is in the basement. I was not expecting this so I was disappointed, making the price for this room a little high. The other guest were upstairs and it was somewhat loud in our room. The toilet booster pump was very loud and I felt uncomfortable flushing the toilet because I didn't want to disturb any other guests. Nothing!. Had to drive along the main road to get breakfast. No BBQ lighter,BBQ wasn't clean,pool ladder was broke. Breakfast was really disorganised (but good), and we got off to a late start because of it. Bed & Breakfast - however the breakfast was at a separate location (a small restaurant with inadequate seating.) Wasn't my expectation based on past bed and breakfast. Business is closing which shows in the upkeep. The bathroom hadn't been properly cleaned. There was used facecloth from previous occupants in the tub. There were no instructions for the use of the jacuzzi. However, we received an immediate apology and a promise to remedy in future. Nothing to do in Pleasant Bay and the laundramat in the town was very unkept. Didnt get the room we had booked. No owner on the premises. No one was there to meet us. Just a note. Place not very secure. Now I got an email that we did not pay. I thought we paid through you.
