The pool and hot tub area is well maintained and spacious. The set up of the hotel allows you to park right outside your room, but you also have a door directly from your room and into the main building which makes it more convenient to get to the pool and game room. Also, a comfortable desk chair was provided in our room. We loved the pool. We loved the food. We did have a few issues with our room but I explained them all to the front desk at check out and she was very helpful and explained she would make sure our next stay was a lot better. But we did really enjoy our stay. It was our second time staying there and we will be back!.
all reviews » I come to Orillia often and have been staying there for many years . It's clean, has a good size pool, close to downtown and shopping, and has the restaurant attached which serves a great breakfast (especially the buffet) Staff has always been helpful and friendly. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The scenic view was surprising considering how close the highway is to the hwy. I did not get to use the pool but it looked great. The restaurant buffet was excellent. very affordable. Everything is very good about the hotel. It could do with a bit of "sprucing up". The location is very convenient and the pool area is nice. the staff were very accommodating and very polite. good service all round. that when they mixed rooms up they gave us vouchers for free breakfast, and then they also fixed the error,most places would not have done what they did and i truly appreciated this and would definitely come back. Bed was very comfortable. We had an issue with the drain in the bathroom sink, the maintenance guy was there within minutes. The restaurant was very nice. Great food, 10% off for guests, and free breakfast. We liked the location and the cleanliness and the attached restaurant. Sometimes you don't want to go back out after reaching your day's destination. We would stay again on our way through. Staff was wonderfully helpful and courteous. Rooms were great for the $$$ and value high. Whole experience is something that I'd do again if I was in the area for business. Great location off the highway, easy access to downtown, not a bad price. Friendly staff and fairly quiet considering the sports families populating the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. We now have a new favorite motel in Orillia. We will definitely be back. it was clean, close to where we had to go, very efficient friendly staff. Our rooms were not cleaned on the morning after our arrival. We had to ask for towels and toweltries. Our online reservation for a queen size room and a room with 2 double beds was told by the desk clerk that it was not valid. The swimming pool. Helpful front desk staff. Location close to malls and stores. Close to hi-way, easy to find. A very good breakfast. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Nice pool. (Didn't try the food - left too early). A few minor repairs needed in our room, such as a towel rack coming loose, but nothing serious or anything that disturbed our comfort. There was nothing I didn't like. Its a good family friendly place to stay. Hotel room was dated as expected from photos, but didn't feel "sparkling clean" either. Didn't have screen door or balcony. The shelf in the bathroom couldn't hold three wet towels- seemed to be coming out of the wall. etc, just needs upkeep. They need to get new linens for the bed and the towels were very rough. But the first thing they should do is get new bed linens. Some exterior doors didn`t work with the key card. Could improve their handicap accessibility, (I.E., more automated doors). Hotel is tired. You must cross above pool area to access rooms from lobby and the chorine smell is potent, very strong. Pillows lumpy and flat. Bottom sheet wasn't a fitted sheet so it twisted up. The hotel is not located close to the casino where we went for a concert, but this was a minor complaint. Nothing. Pleased with everything and every aspect of the motel. We arrived to a non-smoking room that was smoked in. They very much need to improve on their handicap accessibility!. Had room 319-something wrong with the heating/cooling system, was making funny noises. Pool was under repair...understanding that could happen at any hotel.... Bed/pillows not comfortable..kids slept ok, adults not so much... The beds in room 129 are not very comfortable. Hopefully the other rooms have better beds. Not sure if I would come back. The guests across the hall were drunk and disorderly The bathtub handholds are not correctly placed for a disabled person taking a shower Hall doors lacked automated openers. Nothing. property is getting a bit dated. perhaps a new set of front doors with push button locks for handicapped old guys like us. no bar fridge or microwave. The pool needs a bit of cosmetic updating. We wished it had more choices for breakfast - hot cereal. A little hard to find without a GPS. Non smoking room was in the smoking wing which was obvious as soon as the corridor doors were open. Hope to be in another wing next time. The room was really clean, but had a strong chemical smell as if the rug had just been cleaned and was somewhat overpowering. Some hooks were missing from the drapes which made opening difficult. ants in the room. Not enough selection for breakfast buffet. open area over pool to restaurant (chlorine smell not to our taste). The hot tub was out of service.....AGAIN.The restaurant mcabe.......has gone DOWNHILL. Security door to outside was not working! Patio door did not lock!. Smell of the hallway and rooms, rugs all need to be replaced. Checkin: long wait Rm 232 had to lug suitcase and wardrobe bag up a flight of stairs, was required to sign a note indicating I would not smoke however had to pass by 4 rooms that were adjacent to mine and the smell of smoke was very strong in the hall???? does that make sense. Not explained before hand that a Deposit would be required on my Visa!!!. bathroom could use updating; cigarette butts left in beer can on patio from previous guest. one waitress and one bartender were not super friendly but on travel day the morning waitress was busy friendly and accomodating. No smoking room had strong smoke smell. We purchased some orange juice from your vending machine that expired Feb 18 2013, and upon complaining found all your stock to be expiring on the same date. So they gave us apple juice. Kind of turned us off to eating at your restaurant. Not sufficient selection of diet drinks and real water in the machine. you could here the showers from the other rooms. That there were no towels in pool area. it took 2 of us to open and close the balcony door. We saw an advertised better price for the room that we got from you, so I guess it pays to call the hotel. Request for an hour extension until noon was denied although we were travelling to the London area. The walls are paper thin. We had to be up early, but couldn't fall asleep until after midnight because of conversations beside and above us. Then we were woken up at 2:00 because of a commotion in the hall. Noise like a dorm room.
