Location, staff's disposition, parking, cleaness. I read the good reviews and booked it. Then I read the bad ones and had second thoughts. My experience was the total opposite of the comments I read in the bad reviews. No problem with the room, got a free upgrade, no smoking smell (and we had 1 baby and 1 toddler so you can figure we needed a clean smoke-free room). all reviews » Reasonably priced, centrally located, quiet, comfortable bedding and two pool choices, front desk staff especially Alaina(morning staff) very helpful and giving us suggests of where to go & what we could do. Continental breakfast, nothing fancy but a good start to get you going. Would recommend and stay again.Considering the small amount of time spent in room not necessary to spend alot for the stay. Car not necessary to get around in town. Also used Bus transit pass with tours pkg.purchase. The price, cleanliness of rooms, location, and the friendliness of the owners could not be beat. America's Best Value Chalet Inn is in walking distance of everything and very well priced for such a darn good location. The rooms were neat and tidy and comfortable, and the owners were very friendly and accommodating. This was the perfect spot for our family reunion. I would stay there again and again. My husband & I always stay at this hotel-we love the location & price is very reasonable. We received an upgrade from a queen bed room to the heart jacuzzi room for a minimum extra charge. The room was spacious, cozy with a fireplace, and jacuzzi was very nice. Love the location. Walking distance to Clifton Hill, the falls, and the casino. Rooms were clean, smoke-free, great air conditioning unit and access to an in-room fridge to help cut down on soft drink, water and some food expenses. Cheaper then surrounding hotels because its not right on clifton hill , however it is right behind Nightmares and only an 8-10 min walk to he falls themselves and literally 2 mins from clifton hill. It was an ideal location, close to all the attractions and 1 street away from all the noise of the busy street so you feel safe and it is quiet for sleeping. No coffee maker in the room. i did not like that the fireplaces where not operational, even though the sign said that they where from october untill febuary. and the breakfast offered was not very well planned, and the fridge in our room was not that cooled. Limited channels available on TV but I find this a minor issue. Nothing, everything was excellent!!!. The TV was older and didn't have many channels. The indoor pool was a bit cold and a hot tub in the pool area would be a nice addition. Leaving. Would have liked hair dryers and coffee makers in the room and a better breakfast. Continental breakfast was a joke with poor selection to choose from.Claim to have cable television was not true.cleanliness could be improved,found that bathroom was not wiped down properly.toothpaste residue on faucet and dried up cleaner residue on bathtub.But not all bad. Breakfast was nothing special muffins and juice / coffee. I rated this Budget Friendly because of price relative to others in the area. This is a no-frills motel. No privacy sheers on window - just blackout curtains. If you wanted natural light anyone walking by could look straight into the room - and there was a lot of foot traffic. No alarm clock. Continental Breakfast was incomplete, no cereal or cold milk. an indoor pool is our first requirement when choosing a room this pool was painfully cold and we couldn't use it nobody could during our 4 day stay the breakfast ground floor room we had was a little damp. 8 per day parking fee,. No coffee pots in room. Got downsized to queen bed with spa due to malfunction of spa in king bed room. No free parking. All the people on the otherside 2nd and 3rd floor that all they did was sit on balcony, drink and were loud. low-protein breakfast. adding a boiled egg could improve the situation. air conditioner not cold enough. Limited choice of breakfast. Had to pay for parking no list in booking .com. No complaints. Wifi claimed yet couldn't access, front desk staff at check in was too busy playing on his phone to inform us of anything except price to be paid, and our room number. Not informed of breakfast location, yet given a coupon to go elsewhere for breakfast, chlorine from the indoor pool could be smelled upon arrival, and our room was across the lot on the other side of the building. Will definitely look into elsewhere should I visit the falls again. The bed was uncomfortable. We booked a non smoking room well in advance. Our room stunk like cigarettes, the smell was really overpowering & put damper on our stay. Breakfast was crap!.
