My stay at your hotel, was a most enjoyable one. The facilities at the hotel were extremely comfortable. The restaurant staff were professional and very welcoming, and the quality and selection of food on the menu to be exceptional. My compliments to the chef. Thank you!. The location is perfect - close walking distance to Old Montreal, the port, Place des Arts, Indoor Montreal, train station. Near wonderful restaurants as well. Staff is very friendly as well as efficient. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Definitely a good value!.
all reviews » The staff was extremely friendly and competent. For instance, I had a sudden health problem that the concierge handled very fast showing lots of care and professionalism. We will certainly return and recommend this place to anyone. the emplacement in vieux montreal very close to a metro, to a post office the room was very niceand clean the breakfast and the service during the breakfast the staff was very polite and helped when I asked for help. I love the location in the Old Port area. I can walk to many of the places I want to see and the Metro is close for transportation otherwise. The ambiance is upscale and the staff are very professional and helpful. We have stayed at the Intercon in Montreal many times, but not in the last few years. The renovations are excellent. The cafe on the ground floor is a big plus. We like good coffee at different times of the day. Hotel is perfectly located, parked the car and didn't move it for 3 days; the hotel staff was wonderful down to the brunch chef making omelettes, the room was lovely and the bed was scrumptious. convenience of hotel to surrounding points of interest interesting history of hotel and easy access to walking tours quick and courteous check-in clean rooms quick and courteous valet. The only "complaint" is that the coffee supply wasn't refreshed on the second morning. This stay was free of reasons to complain about. This time the food served by room service was average, when I have always found it to be excellent in previous visits. We were not impressed with the lighting in the guestroom and the bathroom. We found it to dark as ambient lighting, the task lighting was not conducive to reading and the bathroom needs at least one other light for make up purposes. The bar could be larger. We almost left because there were not empty chairs. Leaving. our room was a room that had an ajoining door (for families or couples traveling together) crying/screaming children next door was our wake up call. Dog barking in room near us, management took care of it. Breakfast was not up to par for price, so we ate out after that. We were actually shocked that there was not free wi-fi in the rooms. We have stayed in less expensive, poorer quality hotels and free wi-fi was included. For the high quality and beauty of this hotel, and the price of the rooms, internet should be included in the rooms and not just in the lobby. Desk people could have been friendlier but were ok. They have an outside deck off pool area that would be perfect for jacuzzi summer or winter with city views. They should have more staff working at the check in/out area. The night shift reception personal at check in gave us two rooms smelling after smoking and changed after complains to rooms with single beds. (king bed was ordered) Next day we got the right rooms. At check out we didnt get invoice and was promised to send by email, what didnt happen. After a new request the hotel did send it. Pricey, but fairly good value. Staff elsewhere rather distant and almost casual. Most annoying was closure of bar at 11oclock and the clear wish of staff to be closed and out of there! No bar in room so not what would be expected in 5* hotel. The cost for internet service was too expensive. Lower charge is expected. The room was very expensive. staff : no information about VIP lounge swimming pool .- no possibilty to swimm earky morning / for travellers with jetleg is not good/, gym has good open hours. Why is it We can only use wifi in the lobby area unless we pay? Its so inconvenient. Limit the time if you wish but do so in the room as well. Nothing. This is a great hotel. Being charged for internet in the room. I think that if small, budget hotels can offer free internet, the larger hotels should be able to as well. No shuttle to motel, this would be very convinence, cost to much in taxi. A non smoking hotel. Having to pay for wifi!! ( though we've signed up of Ambassador and I understand it will be free in January. The maid only brought a washcloth etc as if it was occupied by one person. Otherwise no complaint. Restaurant menu good be better. Bar service was slow. The carpets at the reception were very dirty .It is very disapointing to see such thing in a "luxury"hotel. From our room,we had no view on Montreal,also deceiving. valet parking 33$ and self parking 24 $ . room service and restaurant are expensive. staff did not follow up with my inquiry. Concierge acted like he was bored. Gave a sheet of paper with restaurants. Acted like we were bugging him while we tried to plan our trip. nothing!. pillows were too small and down filled.
