Excellent value for the price, very polite and friendly staff, nice rooms, no prblems with water, heating or AC, free wifi everywhere, ample parking right outside the hotel, quite close to the mountain, has a bar downstairs with food - very convenient if you don't feel like getting outside for dinner or drink; nice hot breakfast. Love the location!! Mountains everywhere, walking path next to the lake is right next to it, it's in the middle of the tiny town, there's a Resto-Pub right in the hotel and you CANNOT hear any noise form it in your room PLUS there's a hot breakfast to chose from the menu!! +++++.
all reviews » Love this historic old hotel in the old village - incredible woodwork and details. Also, the pub/restaurant Au Coin is lovely with Boréal ale, including a house brew. Owner Philippe is a town 'father' involved in events like Ironman, and a cool guy. Extremely cordial and helpful staff made the trip! Location was perfect to the mountain and getting there and back was extremely easy. Great time all around! Would 100% come back again. Great location, only a short distance to the mountain. Ample parking. Satisfying breakfast. Quiet and safe. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Amazing price for the location! A real sit-down breakfast is included and they serve it until 11 a.m. Way better than the typical hotel buffet. the young little lady from the reception desk, she'S very very profesional and friendly....congratulation !. Breakfast service is quite slow, keep in mind you'll need about 40 minutes or so (at least during weekend). A bit rough around the edges - fine by us, but you need to appreciate a funky old hotel remodel to fully enjoy your stay. Rooms are small but clean. Just minor comments: water on the tap seems to take quite a while to heat up during the afternoons and evenings; and the toiletries didnt include a hair conditioner. The rooms are rather smalls, there is no elevators and it is a little bit old school. However, for the price you pay, there is no complaints!. the menu in the restaurant it'S A bit confuse, if nobody brings you the big portable list menu...sorry for that !. The restaurant only opened at 8am and the hill opens at 8:30am. This makes it a little difficult to get on the hill for 8:30am. Overpriced for the room. Carrying my suitcases up two full flights of stairs. No phones in the rooms. As a young solo traveller it was expensive, chose this as the hostel was booked up for the first few nights. Very plain rooms. food was so so. Bathroom was tiny and in need of an upgrade--fresh paint, new faucets etc. Room was very basic, but adequate. My wife and I are vegans, although we don't expect special catering. The hotel restuarant offered a vegie burger, which was burnt and flavourless. When it's the only vegitarian dish on the menue it should be good. When the gentleman who served us found out we were not buying a meat dish, his attitude turned very rude. poor and old facility. About half price of the rooms on the slope but I think it might be worth the extra few bucks for the closer room, taking in consideration if you drink (cab) the parking and the room itself (bigger with fridge etc). This room has a sink toilet and shower thats it. The size of the room was tiny. Very very tiny.
