The bungalows are superb in a wonderful setting with woods and river nearby. We had a kitchenette, dining and sitting area and separate bedroom. All extremely comfortable and best bit was that we could sit and watch the wildlife from our window. We were warned on arrival that there was a bit of bear activity but unfortunately we didn't see any although were told that one had visited at night. We did see elk and deer however. The adjoining restaurant is excellent with good fresh cooked food and.
all reviews » Loved Jasper House Bungalows highly recommend a stay here. Just out of Jasper we were fortunate to get a cabin on the river. Elk came through on the first night and being Aussies we enjoyed the squirrels being about. The restaurant was fabulous and the staff super friendly. Do yourself a favour and enjoy a stay. Not far out of Jasper but far enough you have peace and tranquillity. Loved it. Stayed in the single Executive Suite Room 28 and loved it. Set in trees near the Althabasca River there was the right amount of privacy and comfort. The constant sound of the river was very soothing. Plenty of elk and the odd bear spotted nearby! About 3km south of Jasper at the start of the extraordinary Icefields Parkway road. Useful restaurant and laundry on site. The view was awesome. We sat by the Athabasca River every night, enjoying the sound of the water. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The cabins look very nice on the outside. Although, I prefer something a little fancier, I must say that the accommodations were clean, there was everything you needed. Friendly and helpful staff easy to park Quiet and surronded by mountains and wildlife. Room cleaned everyday (they even did the washing up). We had a microwave,fridge, oven, coffee maker and toaster in the bungalow. Pans, plates etc... If you are planning on arriving late (after 22:30), give them a ring!. We loved everything!!! This place is like a peace af heaven on earth!!! Everything was great: Ryan (the guy who runs the place) is really nice, the bungalows are so cute, the views are amazing!!! The mountain views surrounding it and the Athabasca River just be below the property are spectacular. It was lovely to hear and watch the river rush by--a nice break from tourist crowds. In a great location just on the outskirts of Jasper on the Icefields Parkway. Near to the wildlife (although we didn't meet any bears which apparently visit the property during May). Great view of the river and mountains beyond. Also close to the Jasper tram. loved the location-really beautiful view and nice to be away from the town but still close enough to grab something if you need it, very clean, nice size for 3 people, kitchen big enough to do meals for small family, front desk staff was very nice. From the first moment we got there the guy on reception was more than happy to help and even helped upgrade or cabin,I couldn't fault this hotel at all everything was great the location, the staff the rooms I'll definitely be coming back again!. JHB is a "must stay" for its setting - stunning; its comfort - outstanding; its staff - friendly & helpful; its restaurant - excellent; its sense of spaciousness - unmatched. Where else would elk walk past your window at 6.30 a.m.?. We have stayed in 2012 and did not even look at other accommadation as we enjoyed it so much before especially the location. Fantastic location right by the Athabasca River, with excellent views of the mountains. A tranquil setting, yet close to the facilities of Jasper. Our suite (18) was cosy and comfortable, overlooking the river. We stayed for 4 nights in a River view cabin. Nice view out of lounge window. Local wildlife passes through regularly (elk!). Kitchenette ok for 2 people - we cooked for ourselves every night with no problems. The staff at front desk & restaurant were friendly & informative. We stayed in the Executive suite, & I am ready to live there! Get the river view bungalows for a great way to start the day. Open the curtains to see white water rafters and a spectacular view. We loved the location and setting. We were overlooking the river and the sound of the river was always with us. The beach frontage on the river made for a very relaxing time. We stayed in a river view cabin and loved sitting in front of the large window overlooking trees, greenery and the beautiful river which was mesmerising. Our neighbours spoke too loud and turned the tv on too loud, so they woke us up very early!!. Restaurant wasn't due to open until a week after our visit but no problem to drive into Jasper for provisions and meals. fold out bed not comfortable but then they rarely are so hard to fault. would be nice to strengthen wifi so it reached the cabins but its plenty strong in the main office. Nothing. Having to leave! Only the soulless could find anything to dislike here. We liked everything about the Jasper House Bungalows. The noise you could hear from the adjoining cabin. Disappointed to find restaurant closed as it was midweek in early season. Was a bit squishy once the couch was pulled out to a bed, no swimming pool or hot tub. Nothing. The cabin was a bit dark and gloomy. Bedroom view not so nice (onto car park and other cabins). Would recommend a river view cabin if staying for more than a night. Other cabins had view on car park. Crockery and pans need replacing (handle dropped off one!). Oven thermostat not working (full temp only). Wi-Fi very sporadic - don't rely on it. Nothing. - restaurant was not very good . So for the money you get better restaurants in Jasper downtown. spotty internet. Nothing. An suggestion not a complaint- the kitchen area could have been a little better stocked with cooking equipment/cutlery. On a hot day the lack of air conditioning was a bit of an issue. Guests were poorly prepared for wildlife visits so when they did occur the wildlife were quickly scared away. The resort does provide guidance in he rooms but more attention needs to be drawn to it. Leaving!. Beds were not the best but still good to sleep on. The pillows!. Had a noisy heating system, but no doubt being addressed. Nothing. nothing. Wifi not very strong No iron in room No microwave. - wifi didn't work for 2 days. - No telephone in the room. nothing!. Location a bit of a trek from town (3-4 km). OK in fine weather but not so nice when it rains On-site restaurant doesn't serve breakfast until June. Nothing. nothing, it was all great. Booking. com seems to suggest that the rooms have a microwave, they do not so the tea we took with us couldn,t be used. Expensive to eat in their restaurant so had to drive 3 km into town. Some noisy guests 1 night. Lack of WiFi in bungalows.
