The hotel was good , clean and confort compared to the other hotels in fort mcmurry. The location is in between airport and downtown . I went to see northen lights and oil sand center . There is pool and hot tube . The standard room was quit good. Sawridge happened to be really close to where I was working. This was the second time I've stayed there, and it was the best hotel I've been at in Fort McMurray. Comfortable, reasonably quiet.

I liked that the wings of the hotel were separated and that you could only use the hallway that your room was located in. Bed were comfy , food is awesome. It a pit pricey compared to 3 star hotel. The wifi sometimes disconnected which was anouying. I recomend to rent car for more flexiable movement in the city. It's probably a bit expensive for what you get, but it's Ft Mac - what do you expect?. Cost 240.00 a night is a little steep for a 3 star. But that's supply and demand showing its ugly head. For the area they were right in line with competition. Pool was closed. I was in room 233. The floor of the room above squeaked and creaked loudly whenever anyone moved around. I think the carpet needs to be lifted and the subfloor tightened with more screws. Metal cover over hole in wall not properly attached thus gaping hole. For $250 a night value was definitely not there. No Coffee Maker in my room and the shower curtain was missing. the building is old - and the ceilings creak loudly - doors slam loudly. The water for my shower was barely warm so a bit disappointing. I probably only wouldn't stay again because we spent a lot on taxi's. Not the hotels fault however. nothing. Price. Internet would not work. No coke only pepsi. Building shows it's age. Entry/room doors and latches are in poor condition. A/c unit has wiring harness with marretts hanging down. When carrying arm loads of items, having to use the room key to access diferent areas is a pain. Parking lot dirty and cigarette butts around entrances. rooms dated/no bed side lamps. - Poor sound proof, was disturbed by guests talking in the hallway. - Poor service in the restaurant on both days, had to wait for 15 minutes to get a drink, staff seem to be too busy chatting with associates and no guest contact. - On the second day tried to order room service, was told by the operator/gs that a menu will be sent to the room, no one brought the menu, eventually missed the live event i planned to watch. rooms were not clean when I arrived and stayed dirty for my three night stay asked front desk for additional hangers never got a response asked where I could purchase /get milk for my coffee in the morning- didn't know tried to access spa services and they had no openings during my stay with the hotel. Food at the restaurant is WAY too expensive. Beside this, though a wide variety of dishes (buffet), ALL tastes so YUCKY and SO UNTASTY. This is as simple as my dog would not even look at it. UNTASTY and EXPENSIVE FOOD (this wasn't only at the hotel's restaurant though, ALL food in the whole town tastes SO yucky and untasty). The fact that you must have a credit card to stay there no cash deposits (something letsbookhotel.com fails to say) Toilet was dirty Spiders in the bathtub Rooms aren't worth the money Outdated rooms. hallways through 1st and 2nd floors had a lot of garbage left around for log periods. eg: beer cans newspapers beer caps , plastic wrappers. it's expensive for what is offered. The ceiling overhead was very noisy with creaking from people walking overhead at night when trying to sleep. Poor fixtures in the bathroom, toilet handle broken, bath tub overflow had a huge gap that water leaked in to when showering, tub spigot looked like it was going to fall off, main room coffeee table had broken leg and damaged surface that was impossible to do paperwork on. Side table was broken. Used to porvide bottled water in room - none provided. Used to provide biscotti with coffee - none provided. Did not restock coffee supplies for second morning. Price $240 is pretty steep for a very plain room that is getting in need of a refresh. I thought the room service service was not professional. There was an old menu in my room which I used to order my meal. The staff did not ask for any clarification and sent the meal they thought was closest to what I ordered (but didnt share this with me), then argued that I ordered the wrong item when I wasn't satisfied with what I got. They eventually replaced the meal with something else without additional charge, but their attitude toward me was not very pleasant. Stayed 2 , once we had dirty clothes in room from previous customers that stayed in our room!!! Gross and the last stay housekeeping broke a 300 personal item and they didn't care still haven't fixed the problem . management is poor housekeeping is brutal ..... Will never stay here again !!!!.
