We stayed there one night during our rocky trip. Hotel was located in Canmore which is about 15-20km away from Downtown Banff. The staff was really nice and check in was very fast. The room we got had a beautiful mountain view. It was very relaxing and nice after a long day drive/tour. Bathroom was big enough for us and free wifi was an extra credit. :) Breakfast was pretty simply continental style..a few kind of cereals, pork sausage, bagel, bread, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, canned fruits, mi.

The room was very clean, even a curtain in the bathroom was bright and fresh. The bed is comfortable. We had a problem with the window, could't close it due to the broken mechanism. A few minutes after a call to the front desk, a pleasant maintenance guy showed up and solved the problem. In general, this hotel is good and pleasant, with pool and complementary beverages all day long. We have stayed at the Pocaterra Inn 5 times now for 5 days and find it great for the duvet blanket on the king bed, the shower head in the bath, the bar fridge, the window that opens, the view, the ice tea &cookie in the afternoon,& the friendliness of the employees. We will definitely be staying there again next year!! We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Wonderful staff. We had to extend our stay because Hwy 1 was impassable to Calgary or Banff. Staff kept us abreast of all happenings. They continued to serve breakfast and cookies despite the state of emergency that Canmore was in. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Free wifi was wonderful. Enjoyed the executive King suite with jetted tub.... The balcony and the view of the mountains was beautiful.. We always ask for a room on the same side with balcony to enjoy our breakfast, even in winter, we sit outside wrapped up and enjoy breakfast, the air and the mountains.... clean room,good breakfast,the staff were willing to help with anything needed,we will be returning for our fall and spring get away for many years to come.One staff member Candace Harvey,sure made our stay special we are looking forward to seeing her when we return in Oct. My grandchildren enjoyed the water slide and pool. The beds and the room were comfortable. The great breakfast is an added bonus. We have always found the Best Westerns Plus hotels to be a good place to stay. Good value for the price. Everything...room was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the Kuerig coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Hotel breakfast was substantial, with an exceptional variety. Pool and hot tub area was well-maintained and a good size. I found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast that was included in the rate was more than we had expected, there was a varity of things to choose from hot or cold.The room were very clean and comfortable. I appreciated the light switch for the overhead lamp readily accessible from the bed: perfect position on the wall & easy to find in the dark. The hotel is clean, comfortable with a very helpful staff and very conveniently located close to Banff National Park. We stayed in the hotel for nine days and had a wonderful time. I liked the compementary breakfast and the long hoursnit was open. The staff member kept everything fresh and hot, a real casual pleasure for us older travellers, will stay again!. Besides the beautiful view of the mountains, i especially loved the four fluffy pillows. It's a really nice place and would stay there again!!. The bed was kind of soft for me so i couldn't really sleep well. Parking lot is a little small for driving a truck. The breakfast was OK, but could be better. Well, the ensuite bathroom was absolutely gorgeous and everything would have ended on a very wonderful note, if the glass shower stall door hadn't fallen off because it wasn't properly secured!!! No one was hurt, but it was a near thing. That I couldn't stay another night!. Because we booked through letsbookhotel.com, we ended up having to pay $25 fee up front at the desk once we arrived. One clerk called it a "damage deposit" and another called it a "holding fee' which is nuts since we were already there. The fee is credited back to your card when your card when you leave, but it was very awkward an unpleasant. Wish pool stayed open later than 10:00 a.m. 11:00 p.m. would be better particularly because it is separate from any rooms. Breakfast was CRAZY at 9:00 a.m. Could barely find a seat and only a fork to eat with. Came back at 9:40 and was great. The breakfast menu was minimalist & not particularly inviting. Being so close to Tim Horton's , it was more appealing to just walk over for one of my favorite breakfasts. Parking was too tight and no directions for additional parking. Absolutely nothin'. The only negative comment is that the breakfast area was understaffed for the number of patrons. I liked everything. It was hot in our room, took a while before it was ok. I guess the weather passing from -10 to +16 did not help. The breakfast would have been that much better if the fruit was fresh rather than canned. Canned fruit is full of high fructose corn syrup which I'm sure you're aware is increasingly know to be terrible for health. The fridge was not cold in Rm 110 and it was noisy around 12:00 midnight that woke me up. Breakfast but it was included. wifi signal was weak. Nothing. The room looked like it had been renovated and they never bothered to vacuum the carpet fully. It was filthy. It needed a shampoo in the worst way. Wereserved this room for friends and pad in advance with our own card however we were nort allowed to get the points/room credit to our rewards car as we ere not thename on the registration. I dont think it is fair that we paid and were not allowed the rewards. We like everything. We stayed for 3 nights, the 1st 2 mornings we went down for breakfast around 9:00, no room to sit, they were out of a lot of food items, I found out they don't prepare the hot food at the hotel. Not enough staff working the breakfast area/shift - they could improve in this area greatly. room by the elevator, could hear everyone at 6 am..talk talk talk. It was a little out of the way from downtown and the shops. Not crazy about the pet-friendly policy but I understand...
